"We had over an hour wait for dinner due to staffing issues but we sipped a mixed drink and waited. The calamari appetizer was light and delicious with a few fried mild jalapeno slices. I ordered the crab salad and my wife ordered the steak salad. Both were very generous sizes. The crab salad was great. My wife's steak was not rare as ordered in fact it was closer to medium well. We each ordered a glass of local wine which was really nice."

"A couple I met led me to Captain Groovy's and I'm so glad they did as my food was absolutely DELICIOUS!! The egg roll appetizer w/ the scratched greens in them are so unique and full of tasty? Taste, my braided beef ribs melted in my mouth. Cool atmosphere, good price points and good service. This place was definitely added to my favorites and will be visited when I am in VA Beach!!"
