"We were so excited to try this highly-rated place after reading such great reviews! It ended up being pretty expensive and not like we imagined. 1. We went there to watch a specific football game, requesting that channel when we made the online reservation. Once we were seated, had ordered and were waiting for the game to start, we were told they didn’t carry that sports channel. Um, if pure going to call yourself a sports bar, you should carry all games. We had some discussion about leaving, but we’d made the drive to LaCenter and paid for parking so elected to stay. 2. Food and drinks were FANTASTIC but overpriced. Service was good but it took a long time to get our food. We had a $200 bill for 4 people and only three of us were drinking alcohol. 3. Atmosphere is great with all the TV’s but be warned, we were overwhelmed with the smell of cigarette smoke the entire time we were there. Tom’s is located directly next to the casino floor and there was no filtering system or airflow control to keep the smoke out of the restaurant. That’s the thing that will keep us from ever returning."

"We were so disappointed on this visit to Tom’s. This will be our last visit there. I was surprised to get a reservation on a Saturday afternoon. When we got there the place was nearly empty. The hostess sat us down very quickly and then we waited a while for a server to take our drink order. My husband wanted to go to the bar and order his drink and I told him that would be very rude and make the server look bad. I pointed out there was only one server in the whole place. So we waited. We ordered appetizers and drinks. I ordered my usual three taco combo. The meat was stale and flavorless. The lemon or orange wedge on my plate was completely dry and the lime wedge was brown. I ate the flavorless tacos didn’t want to complain since my husband loves coming here. I looked on another website and saw that Tom’ s reviews about their food and service had gone done the drain. We also ordered steak nachos. The guacamole was black and there was no steak. No servers came to our table. My son’s meal came much later and was incomplete. Some minutes later the server passes our table and I asked him for a coke refill and he said okay but kept walking away and I was still missing an order of french fries. Finally there were more servers but our service never improved. My husband went to the bar to order his second beer. Even at the nearly empty bar it was hard to get a drink. We were done with this place. 90 minutes there no refills no one took our order for our main entree. We asked the bill and now the server was friendly even telling me to have a good day calling me by my name. He questioned my husband where he got the beer from. My husband told him don’t worry I paid for it. I left a mere $5 tip on a $67 bill. I wasn’t even done signing the bill when the server was already there picking up his tip. I was so disappointed with the quality of food and the service that Tom’s is now offering. It has changed so much I’m upset to have wasted a Saturday afternoon at this place."

"i have never been so offended in my life. i go to eat at this establishment and the lady waitress looks at me and says what you want. we got no handouts. then after i sit down and order i go to use the restroom and am startled as the employ es start banging on the door and trying to open it up. now i may not look my finest today(I just got out of the icu with sepsis) and can barely walk and breethe. but does that warrant me this behavior? then when trying to explain my plight and try to get a understanding with staff they then try to say in perfect english i may add, that they don’t understand english. i say boycott this place for there insensitive, questionably illegal, treatment of a sick person. might i add i also have a colostomy bag which due to there invasion of the restroom i unfortanatly spilled on my jeans. so i guess i look pretty crazy right now and ppl probably think that i am. maybe we should remember to never judge a book by its cover and that a lil compassion and communication can be a great thing."
