"My wife and I recently tried to have lunch at The Deacon's Bench on a Saturday. Unfortunately, we ended up leaving without being served. We arrived around 1:00 PM and walked in through the front door, but there was no waitstaff in sight. There was one table occupied in the back of the first room, so we decided to check out the bar area, where most of the seats were taken. We settled at a table near the bar, but there was no employee present behind the bar. After waiting for about three minutes, the bartender finally appeared from the back. We held on for a few more minutes, but unfortunately, we were never acknowledged. Eventually, we decided to leave. I understand that staffing can be a challenge in the food service industry, but being ignored for five minutes was too much for us. I hope this was just a one-off occurrence."
