"Must-try: Piazza. Top rated Italian restaurant in Eureka. Overall great culinary experience with very friendly service in a beautiful city. Started with Wild Mushroom Cobbler, we have Piazza and Steak as the most important dishes. They are both delicious and piazza taste particularly amazing with simple components. My friend ordered ice cream for dessert. I tried black chocolate truffles with duck fat. It has a bit of salt on its top, while the truffle itself is not rich in taste of the duck."

"Several of my coworkers have raved about Machete, so I'm disappointed to say that I found it lacking. I tried two of the tacos, which were decent, but one had cheese that had congealed to the point of being rubbery and inedible. I also ordered a margarita which tasted like straight tequila. Who knows, maybe that's a good thing for some people, but I only managed a few sips before I gave up on it. Service was also very poor—we had to wait around 30 minutes after the meal before we were able to flag down our waiter for the check, and the place wasn't even that busy. I'm sad to say I will not be returning. :"

"I brought three guests for what I hoped would be a special experience. We sat for 10 minutes before the waiter even visited our table. There were no employees in the room and the Hostess-Desk was unaffected. I had to corralize a bartender in the restaurant to get someone to serve us. After our order was finally taken, we waited and waited. It was 40 minutes after we arrived at our 2:30 reservation when I asked the waiter when the food would come. Shortly after that we were finally served food, which was obviously prepared in advance, so it was not served earlier, was a secret. Vitaly Paley once had a single exquisite restaurant. Now he has many subpar foods that were joined by a soulless restaurant consortium. One would think that even without quality and charm, companies would run at least better. It is a sad case from grace."

"The meal was pretty good. The service wasn't so good. Our waiter has forgotten things several times. I also ordered a coffee with the (excellent) chocolate tone we had just served; coffee showed up 15 to 20 minutes later when we prepared to go to the theatre. It is a beautiful room and one of the few places in Portland where it would feel completely appropriate to get a little more dressed for dinner."

"I was a little disappointed. I really love Hotel deLuxe's driftwood bar, their food is delicious so my expectations were set pretty high for this high tea. For $55 I would have expected a little more food, or a more impressive spread but it was pretty mediocre all around. Our server was great and attentive but the sandwiches barely had any filling inside and the pastries were just ok. The scones were decent and loved the clotted cream but there was no lemon curd. I've been to high tea at the Ritz along with other five star establishments, paid less and got more out of it."
