"Absolutely fantastic Mexican restaurant for any reason why you love Mexican restaurants. Chips when you sit? Perfectly crisp. Salsa? Excellent taste without burning. Guacamole? Boom, fantastic avocado taste. Queso? Uh-mazing. Burritos? Huge. Tequila for days. How about Sizzling Fajitas? Tacos, steak chicken and pork. Shrimps, rice beans tortillas. Basically it is perfect and the servers are really happy that you are there. You even laugh at Papa jokes. The table next to us ordered the Quesadillas and this will be my next conquest because I will be back!"

"The Pollo en Mole tastes like Chicken Teriyaki. The sauce was broken and odd looking. The chef doesn’t know how to properly make this dish. Not a good place, I tried it because I saw a review saying it’s “the best most authentic mexican food in Salem”. This is not it. Overpriced trash is what they’re serving."

"this was our first time at this place, not almost as busy as the location on hall blvd. we had a reservation, but they didn't need it. our waiter came by quickly to begin and was attentive during our visit. they brought the children for the first time what I know to some is fantastic, but we don't really like that. our children are a little older, so they don't have to eat first. I will make sure that we ask that all food be brought at the same time when we eat there. otherwise we all enjoyed our food and had a nice time. her child menu has a lot of options, which is fantastic!"

She personally was going to each table and making sure that everyone is getting better service. We definitely would visit this place often. "Taqueria has always been a great part of the Flores family of restaurants and my personal favorite for a long time. Now that they are finally open again I encourage you to visit and enjoy their new menu. It is a refined yet thorough selection ranging from ceviche appetizer to fajitas or surf and turf with lobster or a tomahawk steak. If you want the classics they still have those, only refined and cleaner made with thought and care They also have several drink specials as well as a full bar to serve your needs. Everyone I have met here has been welcoming, friendly and personable and I enjoy their company. The ambiance is nice especially in the bar that is separate from the dining room. I have been coming here regularly for years and always look forward to coming back."

"If you get the chance, I highly recommend that you eat at the Mexican restaurant, here in Pocatello, Chapalas. We try to eat there regularly, as their service is, and always has been, wonderful. They’re a family owned restaurant here in Pocatello and we like to support family owned restaurants if we can. Today we ordered some food to-go and when I went in to pay, they recognized us from previous times offered free drinks chips salsa (and when we got home, we realized sopapillas. They can’t do this for everyone, of course, but the gesture was so kind. Then the man who works there, who was helping me, then helped me carry everything out to our car. The whole family that works there is always so kind and thoughtful and they are always like this. There’s not a single time when we go into the restaurant that they are not happy and willing to joke around with you. If you get the chance to support them, you won’t regret it!"

"Now I want to be clear... what I am rating might not be their specialty. Restaurant was never empty... as people left they were coming in. To be fair Mexicans.... most clients were Caucasian. I got the Vuelve a La Vida Cocktail... (seafood cocktail) no flavor, no presentation, no way to adjust it... I never seen a raw oyster expand pillow like before in a cocktail. OK, so maybe I should've ordered something else cause everyone else was enjoying their food. The service was great, place was pleasant, people friendly I guess I just ordered the wrong item... to be fair if in town again I will stop by and try something else so no discouragement it was not that bad. Well my honest review..."

"Had dinner her with family for the first time. The setting is beautiful, the food was plentiful, service wasn't bad but could've been better (food arrived but no silverware). My only complaint is with the horchata. I have been to dozens of Mexican restraints across the county. The horchata here was nearly undrinkably sweet. I put a full glass of water into it before it was what it should be. Minus the horchata, a good Mexican restaurant. Wheelchair accessibility: Wheel chair ramp to front door."
