"The food was really delicious, and a really expensive drink menu (including mocktails) but wow was the service terrible. And it takes a lot for me to say that, I generally have a lot of patience and grace for service at restaurants but I couldn't get a drink refilled, we were left for over 30 minutes and only ordered our main course because I went and got someone. To make matters worse, it was not busy and from what I could tell the servers were all at the bar together just chatting. I'll give this place another shot, but if the service is bad again I won't be back again. Which is a shame because the food was really good."

"Found this Pho place a few months ago and were back as often as possible, the Pho is the best thing I had in la broth, is amazing, serving sizes are big and the bill is never too expensive. Your other dishes are also definitely trying when I've never let anyone down. A big plus is that you are always your hot food super fast, no matter how busy it is!! "Went here for lunch around 10:45. Only person in there at the time. Got my order taken and sat down. I've been to this location before when they first opened and a few times after that when I'm in the plaza. Today came back because I had to wash some stuff at the laundry mat a few stores down so I got a bite to eat while my stuff was washing. The very first time I ate here the dac biet didn't have any meatballs and I'm glad they fixed that. The broth was good a little on the sweeter side but hot, just how I like it. I'm glad they had tripe in the pho because not many places so that and that was pro. Sadly that's where it ends. The meat quality not there. The sliced beef was dry and not tender. The brisket was over cooked and sliced pretty thick with little to no fat on it. This is actually the first time eating pho where I was left with more noodles than meat for my last final bites. This bowl will run you about $15. I recommended somewhere else if you're eating pho, I can't say much for the other dishes. Pho 99 has problems and the pho is one."

"I have been coming to Minh Hai for over a decade, it is truly a hidden gem in Cranston; the absolute best place to come for authentic Vietnamese food- not only is the food beyond amazing, but the atmosphere makes you feel like you're home. This is a family-owned small business that deserves all of Rhode Island's customers, you're missing out if you don't take my advice and try this restaurant; I usually come for pho with chicken, pictured here are pho #1, pho #10, and Nime Chow. Parking: There is always plenty of parking at this location, another reason why I highly recommend this spot as someone who worries about parking spots. "This review is just for their bahn mi via delivery. I want to make it clear I have not tried their pho or other rice noodle dishes. Overall, the bahn mi was not good, probably one of the worst I've had given the ratio of the meat and vegetables to the baguette. Ironically, the extra star is because the baquette was decent. However, there was almost no meat or vegetables in it. I'm not sure if this is because I got this as part of a corporate order, but there was very little meat and very few vegetables inside the roll. While I wasn't hungry afterward, the ratios and taste were completely off. I felt like I was mainly eating a baguette. For what it's worth, people who got pho said the flavor was good, but the amount of meat was really lacking. It seems this restaurant unfortunately seems to skimp out on the non-rice and non-noodle ingredients... I'd like to support a small restaurant, but given my experience and what I heard, I'll unfortunately go to other Vietnamese places first."

"Lotus and Light has been bookmarked for me for a while, but never got the chance to go. When I saw them listed as one of the choices at DineLA, I knew it was my sign to go. Hubby I came for lunch (one of the very few restaurants in our area that has a lunch option during DineLA, so a bigger plus! . First off, the ambiance and interior of the restaurant are absolutely beautiful. The greenery inside just makes you so serene. The waitress who helped us was an absolute sweetheart. For $25/person, you get an appetizer, entree, and dessert. We opted for the chicken and beef street fries since each street fries varied with their sauces and topping. I loved the charcoal flavor from the chicken. The aioli sauce with the green onions was an absolute chef kiss! The beef street fries have shreed beef (I think beef used to cook their beef broth since you can definitely taste the pho broth! This one came with a spicy mayo drizzle. Tasty, but I definitely preferred the chicken one better! The beef just tasted a bit heavy. The appetizers' portions were HUGE! We started getting full of just the two appetizers alone. But we couldn't stop there! Out came our entree, which was the signature oxtail pho (I'm so glad this was a part of the DineLA menu! and lobster fried rice. Both were so delicious! The pho's broth was rich, light, and refreshing. You know you have good pho when you don't need to drench your soup with Sriracha and hoison sauce! The lobster fried rice had a great kick of spice to it. There were also huge chunks of lobster inside! I think this dish alone is valued to 1 DineLA cost. And the entree portions were yet again huge! At this point, we were just tooooo full to go on, but both desserts that we chose had ice cream and couldn't togo it. The taro ice cream was very coconut-y, which isn't my thing. The lotus cake was very buttery and moist. Not too impressed with their desserts, but I can easily overlook that as the food is amazing! Although DineLA is now over, I highly recommend this restaurant. I can't wait to come back and try from their regular menu!"

"Went here on a fairly busy night but service was still great. Friendly host and server. We got the Oxtail fried rice, which was amazing. Smoky, savory, umami. For our second main we got the braised pork belly. it was okay. Quite dry but flavors were there.The drink i got was basically like buko pandan but instead of coconut milk, it was coconut water. (Kind of wished it was themilk but nonetheless refreshing and fun to drink)"
