"They were very friendly and welcoming. But sadly the food was not great. It didn 't live up to what hype I had heard about them. It wasn 't terrible food just not something that made us put it on a definitely going back or recommendations list. The caramel cake tasted like it soaked up everything it had been sitting around for the day. The yams/sweet potato had too much lemon in it, if you are too many bites you got a hard taste of lemon. My wife didn 't like the mashed potatoes. The greens were ok and corn bread too. Eating only gave me thoughts of how it could be better. Wish the original restaurant we were planning to go to was open today, they are a repeat and recommend restaurant. The stars are for the lovely staff and because the food wasn 't terrible just not great, especially for the prices."
