"Gaining access to this restaurant was a bit challenging. I arrived at noon on a Sunday, hoping to start a day drinking adventure. The door was locked and the windows were covered, making me unsure if the bar was closed or abandoned. Eventually, a regular opened the door for me with a grunt of confirmation that they were indeed open. The bar, Master McGrath's, is spacious and clean with about 15 seats. It is equipped with small flat screen TVs, perfect for watching sports games. They have an internet jukebox and a complimentary popcorn machine. The atmosphere felt like it was mostly frequented by regulars, with the friendly female bartender serving drinks as soon as customers walked in. After a bit of a quiet start, I found myself socializing with the regulars, even receiving a drink bought for me by one of them. Unfortunately, they didn't have Jameson whiskey due to a customer drinking it all. The buffalo fingers were highly recommended. The neighborhood of Hyde Park could benefit from more visitors like myself. Overall, it was a pleasant way to spend a lazy Sunday afternoon. Lisa, the bartender, was charming and engaging, discussing topics like Shark Week."
