"Food was amazing. Price comparable to other restaurants in the area. Experience deflated when they brought our tab and told us cash only as the credit card machine was not working. They did not tell us this until it was time to pay, and all of the other tables around us were using their credit cards to pay. They would not accept a check and no cash machines in the area. They insisted we pay cash despite us not having enough to cover the bill. Shortly before we were finished with our meal we told them our hotel recommended we eat here, so we are not sure if they “played” us as tourists to try to avoid the fee for running a credit card? After we insisted they try to run our credit card since we had no cash and all of the other tables were paying with credit cards, somehow it miraculously worked. Despite how good the food was, this spoiled the evening and with as many good restaurants as there are in Manhattan, we will not be back."
