"First time trying food from this place and it was not what I expected. At 11:00 am I ordered carne asada (churrasco) as they call that dish, and at 11:05 the order was ready. They definitely do not take the time to make fresh food, it takes time but to reheat the food from a day before, you can feel in the flavor and presentation that it is only reheated from a day before and the ingredients are not fresh, they gave me a lemon already in bad condition from the previous day and the flavor tastes spoiled. They should sell fresh food made the same day. I didn't like trying food from several days old."

"Never coming here again. I am not picky when it?s comes to eating at restaurants however I got scammed and the food was horrible. The food was just reheated and the chicken was hard to eat. When the check came, our waitress over charged us but I didn?t question her because I thought it was an honest mistake. Now that I?m looking at my bank statement she over charged me EVEN MORE. Plus, I left a great tip in cash which I regret now. Horrible experience. (Also it?s a verysketchy place)"

"I've been eating Mexican food all my life, I have a love hate relationship with it. It's everywhere and everyone has a Taco Tuesday. My family has gone to Talpa since it opened, so I might be a little partial, but it might be my favorite Mexican restaurant ever. It's literally had similar decor since I was a kid save for the bar area. Wait staff's service is consistent and good. The menu is small but always solid, a few changes over the years, but quality and execution always excellent. I have my favorites like the Machaca or the Cosido or the Chile Verde depending on my mood. In all my years going, never been disappointed! If you're looking for a new trendy Mexican spot with a TV chef, Talpa isn't the one for you. If you want an excellent spot to take the family where no one will be disappointed. THIS IS IT!"

"I have enjoyed the food here several times over the past year or so but on my last visit at around 1pm on a Saturday for lunch with a friend they were playing music so loudly that we could barely carry on a conversation. I asked the waitress to lower the volume, which she did, but just barely enough to be noticable. The food is delicious but I won't be back. "30. May 2021 16:30 For the first time, Husband works on this side of the city and eats regularly here. The restaurant is very clean and the staff wears face masks for CoViD. We were shown to our table and received a basket of chips and salsa when we ordered our drinks. The menu is large, with many Peruvian/Latin inspired dishes. We decided to share the Papa Rellena con Polla, a potato puree filled with diced chicken and then deep fried $5). Absolutely delicious. Hot, crispy and not excessively fat. Will definitely order again. For the duck we chose Parrillada Latina, grilled steak, chicken, sausage, seasoned grilled vegetables, roasted Yuca, curtains, rice, salad for 2 $24). It was served sizzling hot on a cast iron skill. Beautiful presentation and lots of food for both of us. I recommend you try this."

"At this point, I do not know why I am concerned with this place at all, always something. To even take my time to write a review is simply absurd from character. But I think managers/owners should see that. Even if I? Are they safe? very aware how this place will run with/without its presence. Funny is that the staff does not know who knows the owners personally or not. You can count ALWAYS on bad, slow, rude service here. The food or drinks are either a hit or miss never consistent. Then they have the Audacity to add car deity. They lie about their lunch special hourly rates personally. I went outside to call the restaurant to check if what they told me was true, but then they told me something completely different about the phone. You should take the shields away when lunch at 4:00 a.m. one day, but then at 2:00 the next. I only took my food to go, I refused to sit and eat. Especially after seeing a server talking to an older confused woman who only tried to enjoy her lunch alone. Do you always double the bill, tend to try to sneak over certain fees or prices, but if you try to deny them or ask a question about your own bill them? to become defensive, to make an excuse or to lie. I saw this personally, so I know I'm not the only one. My mother and I were regular, we had our mother daughters here, but they totally ruined this for us. So, with everything that is said, I do not recommend this place would give them 0! Stars if I could. No, thanks."

When I started to taste my chicken, it turned out that its flavor was not pleasant. ROTTEN TASTE.
