"Incredibly expensive lunch with good service. But $52 Sushi lunch per person for a small tuna Maki roll and salmon, tuna as part of the nigiri? Black cod miso was one of the best in ATL and the only Food highlight. Go to any mid level Buckhead sushi spot for better pricing."

"Rarely I ever write a review, but this place was flat out of brilliant! The service was impeccable shrine after Nick and the day leader. The food was amazing, it was the perfect temp not too hot or cold), and the place was super clean! I am a huge sticker, even above all Kovid 19) of seemingly clean places; I could go on and on, as this place wished me, I would eat there daily. Thank you for giving me such a nice experience. I'll be a customer for LIFE."

"I forgot the name of the soup I had, but it was delicious! My grandmother enjoyed her fried fish. The PW Salmon was good. The spinach lacked flavor but the stuffing in the salmon was great!"

"Overall good experience. Ambiance is nice. Wanted to check out the rooftop, will visit again. Drink: old fashioned. Dinner: grilled salmon was alright nothing spectacular until I put it in the toban yaki sauce. The prime filet toban yaki was must try. I ended up ordering my own vegetarian option. Wagyu tacos are very small but my fiancé said they were delicious. Portions in general are small. Service: Good, could have been better."

"I was really disappointed with this restaurant. They promote themselves as vegetarian and vegan-friendly, but in reality, they use butter, milk, and eggs in almost everything. We went for breakfast and found that the only vegan options available were a heel flake and a head dish. Honestly, I can get better vegan options at a chain restaurant like IHOP, where I can order crispy fruit and heel flakes. We tried to communicate with the waiter to create a nice meal, but everything was cooked in butter. It’s frustrating that they claim to be vegan-friendly when their understanding of veganism seems limited. If they truly want to cater to vegans, they should know what being vegan means and offer real vegan options. We ended up leaving in frustration, and I still feel annoyed when I hear others talk about this place. It’s hard to believe they consider themselves vegan-friendly while using eggs, cheese, and butter."

"Great spot to eat, although expect to spend . We ate here on their sushi only night, and although the selection was limited, they customized my rolls which was nice, and the sushi was very good and fresh. The server even gave us a sample of an extra dessert. We ordered the green tea creme brûlée that was delish, and he gave us a slice of the cheesecake which was equally delicious!"

"A nice place to have sushi or any number of Thai or Chinese dishes. The staff is courteous and the service is good. You can usually count on getting a table. High end no? Comfortable, easy place to have a conversation and enjoy a meal at reasonable prices yes. BYOB always helps."

"I always enjoy The Mad Monkfish for dine-in or takeout! They have a great selection of sushi as well as other food options! They have a vegetarian section of their menu which includes vegan items. The place is very busy on the weekends/for dinners so definitely make a reservation if you want to eat during those times. The atmosphere is fun and the decor is unique. But if you are having a more quiet night they do a great job with takeout!"

"After being in the area for the past 13 years I can honestly say that this is a one of a kind experience with the best service, fresh fish, and all-around beautiful experience… If you are in the area do you not miss out on the spot especially during lunch where you can find yourself dining with the best on the dime!"

"Food was pretty good I like that there are lots of vegetarian options and my eggplant and tofu dish was delicious as was the fried rice. The server we got last time barely spoke English which made for some difficulty in ordering and some misunderstandings in what we received. We ordered scallop nigiri and it took so long to come to the table I thought they forgot about it, and when I bit into it it was still partially frozen. I've been here multiple times over a couple years and it is always freezing cold if you are dining in. I will try other options but may stick to takeout."
