"It was okay. I really have to go back and give it another shot. when I first went with 3 kids, it was super hectic and crazy at the dining table. I ordered the first thing I saw that I didn't want to delay my dining room partner. No, it didn't like it. suppe was lukewarm more reis than suppenwasser. steak was chewing and the margherita could use less sugar and more alcohol (personal preferences)."

"Don Carmelo’s has been on our list of places to try for quite some time and we weren’t disappointed. All of the other reviews about how great the service is are totally true. There was a bit of a wait when we arrived around 7pm. We were told there would be a 15-25 minute wait which was fine as we were cool with having a drink at the bar. While seated in the bar area, someone came over to see if we wanted some chips. Nice touch. The wait ended up being closer to 45 minutes, but several people came over to tell us they were just waiting for the table to pay their check and that they hadn’t forgotten us. The food was excellent. The chips came with three kinds of salsa. One was better than the next. My husband had the mussels appetizer from the specials menu and the sauce had great flavor. I had the short rib tacos also off the specials menu and they were fantastic. My husband also enjoyed his entrée. The dessert selection was great. We tried the dessert sampler which is a great option. Several people continuously checked on us to make sure everything was okay and the service was very prompt. We didn’t wait for anything. The only thing I didn’t love was the rice. I felt it could have used more flavor. We will be back for sure."

"Very disappointed with my experience. I ordered delivery based on some of these reviews. Definitely shouldn 't have ordered fries but that 's my fault, I knew better. My son had the mac and cheese and fries. He ate it with no complaints so I guess it was good. Can 't really mess up kraft mac and cheese tho. I ordered chile rellenos with the sauce on the side.. and I 'm so glad I did! The chile rellenos were delicious and perfect. I feel like the sauce would have ruined them because it was not tasty at all. I asked to sub fries for beans and rice but they did add the rice as well which I was ok with. Kinda shocked to see white rice, but it wasn 't bad.. until I found a black hair in it"

"I have been going to el agave for years. In Bealeton and Warrenton the pollo degollado is completely different than the Culpeper?s location. This is not the pollo degollado that is served in other locations. When I called I was told that the chef does things differently here and that I should?ve made a note. How am I supposed to know that? This location seems mismanaged and is an embarrassment to your brand. Bealeton and Warrenton gets it right but Culpeper needs someserious work."
