"We heard about this hidden gem on the popular TV show, “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives”; and were eager to try it though it meant to drive an hour to get there. It was worth it! We ordered the Bratpork dinner and it blown off our socks. The meat was fatless, tender and loaded with taste – thanks, partly to the addition of the infamous Moljo sauce from Mabo. Served with crisp, sweet fried curtains and a bowl of black beans that we laded over our fluffy white rice. In addition, we ordered their famous combination plate, with Empanadas, sweet potato croquettes, deep-fried potato balls with a ground pork mixture in the middle, more fried plantains, and several other fried candles. Each participant costs about $10, but is generous enough to feed 2. As we were gone, we saw our personable waitress with a scrumbling bean salad to another table, carved generously with shredded chicken (also available for pork); and we decided to return as soon as possible for Round Two. The Resutaurant was actually a former gas station, but was stylishly converted into a full-fledged retrieval, which sits right at the corner of Western Ave and Victory Blvd. The staff is more than willing to share their recipes; and are quite warm. External and inner seats are also provided. When you go for lunch, I suggest that you go either early or late, as it is a fairly popular destination for many of the film and TV studio staff nearby; and tends to get over lunch."
