"I?ve only visited a Viva Chicken restaurant twice previously, once was about 5 years ago, and the other was about a year ago. Both times were for takeout. Considering the length of time between visits, I felt unfamiliar with the menu. Today (7/13/2022 , we chose to dine in due to timing . The GM, Marcus, was running one of the registers. He was incredibly helpful (and patient! in assisting me with selecting a meal for my 22 mo old grandson, even during the busy lunch rush. He explained the children?s menu options, and he even made a suggestion of which may be easier for him to eat independently. Very thoughtful. He also explained the different salad options for me, and he helped me to make a selection based on the items I mentioned I did not want. As I mentioned, our visit was was during the busy, work week lunch rush, but I felt like I was the only customer in line did not feel rushed at all. In the dining room, Ms. Vernice assisted us. She offered to retrieve to go boxes for us and even came back to assist us a couple more times. She was kind, personable, and took just the right amount of time with us. Overall, we had an excellent experience and will definitely return if we are once again in the area. With the continued staff shortages and sometimes seemingly rude service (from those who are almost certainly overworked and under paid, so it?s understandable ,, this was a refreshing experience that I will not soon forget.
