"It is not often in a new city or actually in a new state that you can go to a restaurant and feel at home right away. We came tonight for the first time in the midst of a 45-minute waiting period that the owner saw that we had our six-year-old daughter with us and immediately sat down so that she didn't have to wait to eat dinner. Our waiter, who has been in Tuscany for 20 years, was absolutely incredibly very attentive and made us feel that we were the only table there, everything came out at the right time and we never felt rushed that we never felt as if they were just trying to get us in and out so that the next table could sit and the food was amazing! We couldn't find what we didn't like about this restaurant. We left with the greatest smile on our face and even though we only live an exit, we had the greatest smile on our face completely home about what an incredible experience we had right now!"

"Small local old school place, owner is an awesome guy. If your review was expecting Michelin stars, come on. Really? Pizza is great. All the food is. A messy kitchen means the cook cares about the food the most. Some of these negative reviews are just like there’s no realism to where you are eating. I go here every drive through town."

"The food is excellent, the service is good, the price is higher, then you would expect from a place like this, but given the price of everything that is worth in these days eating the ball. The only reason why it's not 5 stars is the atmosphere loud, I mean really loud. There is nothing to dampen the sound in this small dining room, so customers always raise their voices to compete with the next table and the volume just stops. Carpet or noise reducing ceiling would help. As it is, try to go if it is not very busy if you want to have a normal conversation during the meal, or order to go."

"We came here pretty late around 8pm on a Saturday. We did make a reservation beforehand, but it seemed like there were some empty tables. I heard it gets pretty busy during prime hours though. The service was really great. The waiters will come fill your water without you asking, provide you suggestions, ask if you want more cheese, and make sure you are doing ok and enjoy your food. The food itself was also really good. I tend to like food that isn't too heavy, and this place was perfect. If you like very saucy and heavy food, this place may be too bland for you. The chicken and fettuccine with tomato creamy sauce was soo good. The chicken was perfectly breaded and crispy on the outside. I think to some, the chicken may be a bit dry due to the lack of oil, but it was perfect for me. The fettuccine itself was also really nice. If I stop by this city again, this is a place I would come back to!"

"I always have a fantastic time when I visit this restaurant. I have been enjoying their chicken Caesar salad for lunch 1-2 times a week, and now my coworkers have joined in on ordering it too. The chicken is always well-seasoned and the fresh lemon wedge and garlic bread on the side pair perfectly with it. The pizza is also delicious! The staff is kind and attentive, and it's clear that the owners are proud of their business and the food they serve. It's great to see such a well-run family business here in Hamden!"

"Update: Still the best pizza! I added photos. It burned for us tonight. La Lucci is the best local pizza. The restaurant is clean. The staff is very friendly. The food is great! I tried the meatball and a cheese steak. The rolls are amazing and the meatballs are hearty and have a beautiful garlic taste, but not overwhelming with garlic. I'm done with the rest of the pizza restaurants in the area. La Lucci is the only one for us!"

"Had the Margherita, Quattro Fromaggio, and Plain pizzas (a slice of each). They were all good. Soft dough, sweet sauce. Generous with the cheese. They DO NOT deliver. Someone posted on Google that they had contact-free delivery, but they only offer pick-up. I would say the pick-up is definitely worth it if your drive is less than 30 minutes. The person answering the phones was very understanding about that confusion. Service: Take out"
