"Have eaten here many times. Even have done catering. Everything is always great. Delicious food, good portions. However, yesterday we brought my grandma here for her 93rd birthday. Our meal was great. At the end they brought out chocolate ice cream with a sparkler for her birthday. She loved it! We got the check to see that the chocolate ice cream was $5 more than our other two desserts. Which I thought was strange (I’ve worked in many restaurants and birthday desserts are usually free) but, that’s fine if not. We understand times are hard. When we asked the waiter about the price difference he explained it was for the sparkler. I’m sorry but $5 for an extra charge for someone’s BIRTHDAY? All I can say is this was tacky. I would never up-charge someone for something on their birthday. Definitely won’t be coming back for another special occasion."

"This is a delightful family-owned traditional white tablecloth Italian restaurant. On bustling 55th Street, but comfortably quiet and cozy inside. And the food is very very good with many choices. You can go with 3 or 4 courses if you wish, but we were well satisfied with an appetizer and a pasta, and generous glasses of wine. (It is important to save a little room for dessert ! You know you’ve picked well when you see a local family with a stroller pops in for dinner, and everybody is smiling."

"I have ordered delivery from Fratelli at least 20 times, but I have never stepped foot in the restaurant based on its curb appeal. And I don’t plan to. However, my boyfriend and I both love their food it’s high quality, consistent, and a great value. The calamari, chicken piccata, rigatoni con salsiccia, and chocolate cake are all fantastic. "I had the Fettuccine Alfredo with chicken. The Alfredo sauce was bland, couldnt taste the nutmeg, and was not salted enough. The chicken was cooked unevenly. The ends were overcooked and dry,it was cooked perfectly in the middle of the cut. Maybe it the breast was frozen when it was cooked."

"That was one of my wife and I favorite restaurants about 6.7 years ago. We travel a lot, and you know how it goes, try other places, Putney things. Fast forward... tasty is my birthday. My wife asks me if I want to go out to eat, and Girasole was one of the choices!! I jumped on how an old favorite memory someone remembers you... Oh, yeah! When we came there, it went back 6.7 years when we met them at least once a month! And the food was as great today as it was then! And then my wife has a court that shocked me. And that's not easy!! I got the file, she had chicken rolotini. Both are delicious! Your menu is very specialized. Chicken, veal, lamb, shrimp, fish. Various dishes each. And made perfect! "Your menu has a few offers in each category, but they always have specials of the day. If you are lucky and catch their filled flowers as an appetizer, don't give them up. They are phenomenal. "Let me start with I rarely if ever leave bad reviews. And my only hope is that they take some suggestions away to make this a mire unique and refined menu. We were excited to try D'Vine. I love frequenting our local restaurants. It had been years since that last time we had been here and came based on a recommendation from a friend. . The biggest disappointment was the wine and specifically the temp. It's one thing for a restaurant to be off but a wine bar should be spot on. Unfortunately, the red wines were really warm. Yes, they are supposed to be warmer .... but not warmer than a inside Houston AC temp of 75ish degrees and these were warm to the touch and palate! The Sauvignon Blanc was somewhat chilled but the Pinot Noir (which is ideal at 60-65) and the Beaujolais (ideal at 56) were both well into 70s. It just made them not as appeaing. The cheese selection was very slim and average ... the Gouda was pretty bland and the Manchego was nearly flavorless. Was looking forward to a meaty crabcake (you get just 1 in appetizer) but it was a very bready, straight from Costco type. Pepperoni flatbread was marginal with little flavor. And while Salmon was nicely cooked, the balsamic glazed over very hard dried figs was just sticky sweet. With a smaller menu, its usually easier to get those items done well and I think they could easily refine a few things and really elevate the quality of the dining experience. I hope they do!"
