"Whenever I bless a fun Mexican family-style restaurant, there is only one place that comes to mind: El Mirasol. The hotel is just around the corner from where we live, the place is usually hopping and we need to wait, but usually not more than 15 minutes. They have two interiors and an outdoor terrace. Early in the evening it is filled with many families, but as the night later (7:30) it becomes much more gay. Many people come here for the Margaritas and Frozen Daiqairis, but I would have a Corona so soon. They also bring you great chips and salsa that you can season when you bring with the large bottle of hot sauce that they bring to you. Tonight I ordered one of the specials: Crab Enchilladas, which was served with rice and beans, along with acid cream. They were delicious. My partner had the Carne Asada Tacos that were not as good as their fish. (Beef was somewhat too overdue). There are definitely many Mexican restaurants in the area of Palm Springs that have a large menu, but no like home or fun."
