"a beautiful hidden gem. they had seats in the open, where you could watch and hear the musical play. the live music was great, service was excellent, and eating was amazing. I'm not a fan of mac and bee as a meal, but the lobster mac was super good. they brought me another grief because they said that my first is too small (I didn't even complain.) that was super nice of them and very appreciated."

I always pay by cash and tip at the end of the night last drink and when i told her that she got pissed off. Needless to say that was our ONLY drink and we left ... yes I left $6 for two beers."

"The service was great!!!The back drop of the gospel music during Sunday brunch was a nice touch. The food... the food was soooo good! The shrimp and grits made me dance in my seat. "So glad we had a reservation! It was packed!! The staff was super friendly managing every table and the long line waiting to be seated. The food was super fresh and tasty. Kudos to the Executive Chef and owner Carlos on creating a great environment and when it was very busy, came out started seating people, including my party. I’d definitely go back."

"I got up from my table and returned and there was a hair on my food, I asked to speak to the manager and he visibly removed the hair and asked me if I wanted my side dish replaced or simply comped, I went for the comped route. However, my friend also alerted me that our server accidentally knocked hand sanitizer onto my meal. The server never told us and instead decided not to wait on us anymore. I went to talk to the owner about it and he told me it was my fault that hair ended up on food because I got up from the table, he then told me my friend put one of her wig hairs on my food and then told me that a server would never put anything onto my food. We were going back and forth the whole time as he chose not to listen to me, although I had pulled him aside in “private.” This resulted in him yelling at me to pay the bill. Before he began guarding the door as if he expected me to dine and dash.I gave my card to my original server. After i signed the check she was still holding onto my card in which I told her to give it back to me and she repeatedly yelled at me to “get out.” This resulted with me being blocked from their social media but my disputing a $162.70 bill with my bank because I only got to eat half of my food and was treated extremely poorly. The food also tasted pretty basic. You will need salt and pepper and can save yourself a burden by simply eating at home."

"The mac and cheese was pretty loose as if they didnt use eggs and looked more like macaroni salad- little to no cheese in it and no, they didnt give me macaroni salad by accident. The collard greens needed more seasoning but were ok. The yams however, were still hard! Nice and sweet but needed to be cooked a little longer. The Turkey Wings were fine. *1-5 scale* Mac and cheese- 1 out of 5 Collard greens- 3 out of 5 Yams- 2 out of 5 Turkey wings 4 out of 5 This place has potential, their Chef and Owner just reallllly need to listen to the reviews! Some of these same complaints in the reviews go back to earlier this year so this shows they dont really care to fix the issue."

"They seemed to be understaffed because they had the security guard taking orders. However, he could not take drink orders from us and told us to go to the bar. He also told us we had to give him our credit cards to start a tab. We went to the bar to order a drink, and were told that we had to order our food and drinks from the bar. Thankfully, I did not tell the bartender I ordered food from the security guard because the friend who told them did not get her food. The service could have been better- On the other hand, the drinks and the music were good. Those two things were the best part of my experience at Social 8 but I won't be back."

"This restaurant was a big disappointment! It took 10 minutes for anyone to acknowledge my presence, despite there being only one other customer in the place. When our food arrived, it was cold, the meat was fatty, and it was overwhelmed with BBQ sauce. I couldn't even eat it, and when I mentioned it to the server, he seemed indifferent and didn't offer any solution. I told him I didn't want it because it tasted bad and was cold. My husband's meal was equally unsatisfactory, and his fries were overly soggy. We decided not to eat anything at all, and the server simply took the bill, removing a mere $4.25 from our total of nearly $68 for two dinners that went to waste. I will never return; both the food and the service were terrible!"

"This is a first and last visit for me! Attended a birthday brunch for a friend! Let me start by saying, our waiter was super nice and attentive and the only reason for the 1 of the stars given. We started with drinks of course and ordered theBottomless Mimosa (not pictured), Bubbles on Bourbon (red-ish/pink drink below) which is super cute but had no flavorwhat-so-ever, Miss Nola (the yellow-ish drink below) which my friend said was simply just okay, and the Creole Island (the peachdrink below) which my other friend said was sweet and strong. For apps we ordered the Creole wings (pictured below) which weresent back due to not being cooked all the way, they definitely had pink inside. The Fried Green Tomatoes (also below) which werereally good! The Spinach Dip (also below) was good, a bit salty but good. However, the tortilla chips were not fried long enoughand they were super soft. As well as the Crab Cake (not pictured) but my friend said was very tasty. The apps were the reason Igave the second star. Now for our entrees??where do I even begin. Well, the Catfish and Grits were sent back (pictured below).The catfish was emerged in the grits making it very very very soggy. Not a fan of soggy food especially fried catfish. And thegrits were mushy. Next, again the chicken from the Chicken and Waffles had to be sent back because the chicken was not cookedthrough and was pink inside. The potatoes were edible and the fries tasted frozen and everything seemed to be seasoned with oldbay. No good flavor in any of the dishes. For the price of the food, I really expected more. I left HUNGRY and verydisappointed. We were also asked to bring cash to pay four separate bills as one. This is a huge inconvenience."
