"I think this place has a lot of potential. I'd like to help. I had the platter with catfish and shrimp and red beans and rice. Overall I think the food is better than the Cajun restaurant downtown, but still pretty bland, not super flavorful which was disappointing.The lettuce underneath the catfish reminded me of eating a big Mac. Just take it away. The catfish itself was pretty good but there was a lack of depth with the flavor of pretty much everything I ate. But honestly with a few simple changes this place could be really good. I loved the sweet potato fries and okra. The first thing I would do if I suddenly became in charge of this place, is replace the menu. The menu is the worst thing about this place. Hard to read, too much going on, the poor waiter had to explain the menu to us and several other tables. The messy menu was a huge turn off for us. I do plan to come back, and hopefully I will be more impressed with the pasta dishes which did sound really good."

"First time trying this place out with my coworkers. We ordered to go because we were limited on time during our lunch break. There was a total of 7 orders and First off the food was cooked rather quickly. We called and placed the order over the phone 20 minutes before opening. We were told all orders will be ready in 20 minutes?. When we arrive to pick up we all notice we had a 15% gratuity added to each bill. Surprising considering we ordered to go. Second the portions were very small and shady for the price we paid. And to top it all off, the food was horrible. Each and every one of us, 7 remember, had a complaint about our food. The fish was soggy with a fishy smell to it, the batter on the shrimp was not fully cooked. The hushpuppies tasted old, and the fried green tomatoes were mushy, bland, and soggy. If I could give this place zero stars I would. Its overpriced and gross. I would not recommend this place at all."

"The food was excellent. Very flavorful and what we expected. The service was fair. It appeared our server may have been taking care of most of the guests while we were there. We couldn't see guests on the bar side of the restaurant. The service was very slow, waited 15 minutes to receive our drinks. The appetizer took a long time and came out only minutes before the entrees arrived. We weren't offered dessert and had to ask for a dessert menu after our check arrived. We ordered two desserts and only one was delivered to our table. When we asked when the second dessert would arrive, our server said she heard only one dessert ordered. So we waited even longer for the second dessert. The server may have been new at the job or just overwhelmed with the many tables she had to wait. Either way, we would return for another meal. The food was very good."

"Wow, fabulous meal! Fried Green Tomatoes are in the top 3 best I apos;ve had in my life. Caribbean Blackened Mahi is delicious, mango salsa is the perfect accompaniment. What could be wrong with Cheesecake Berries , well nothing! I will definitely be ordering from here again, maybe tomorrow"

"The catfish was overdone and dry and the sauce it came with was broken and I ended up draining off all the fat from it in the trash. The side of vegetables that I ordered where horribly over cooked looked like they had been made the day before and reheated multiple times. Not there best work but my other experiences at this location have been positive so Ill be back ."

"We ate out on the patio because they were only doing curbside service, pick up and patio dining. We had the spicy brown sugar wings for our appetizer. They came out hot and fresh and very tasty. My husband had the NYO club sandwich with fries that he really enjoyed. I had the white beans with pork chop, greens, potatoes salad and corn muffin. Everything was delicious, with the exception of the greens. They were just not to my liking. But everything else was on point. We will definitely be eating … – show"

"I recently went to an event at we had at Benedict’s Plantation. The venue is absolutely beautiful with old English style gardens and atmosphere. The event hall is very roomy with elegant table settings, including table cloths, fine linen napkins, and the real heavy silverware! The food was excellent. We had a wrapped chicken dish, stuffed catfish, potatoes, green beans, bread and tiramisu for dessert, wow! Lots and lots of free parking in the adjacent parking lot and overflow field right on the property. Great place to visit and hold an event!"
