"Hook Reel is known for their seafood boils. You choose a seafood, choose a sauce and they mix it up with potatoes, corn and sausage and bring it out in a plastic bag. It can get a little messy so they provide you with a bib and plastic gloves. I like the fried calamari and the coconut shrimp for appetizers. Lately I've been getting a shrimp salad. It's basically just a regular salad with mixed greens, carrots, onions, tomatoes with shrimp. What I like about it, is that the shrimp are jumbo -not those little tiny shrimp at all. And the shrimp has a distinct, buttery taste to it. My husband ordered the fried chicken salad, which is basically the same as the shrimp salad, except the jumbo shrimp is substituted with fried chicken tenders and he said it's one of the best fried chicken salads for the price. Overall, they have a pretty good amount of items to choose from on the menu."
