Despite paying for upgraded shipping, my macaroons arrived warm, a significant letdown as the temperature can affect the texture and taste.Quality control seemed to be an issue. Some of the macaroons were noticeably smaller than others, lacked consistent shape, and some were even smashed, suggesting poor handling or packaging. Presentation is key with a delicate treat like macaroons, and this inconsistency in size and shape was underwhelming.The greatest disappointment was the taste. A good macaroon should be a delicate balance of crispy exterior and soft, slightly chewy interior, but these tasted dry and stale. The lack of freshness was all too apparent and seriously impacted my enjoyment of the macaroons.Overall, my order from Macaron Queen was a letdown.
