"Coming from NC, here visiting friends who bought property near The Anchor, they always wanted to try it we were ALL skeptical. I'm going to be honest, I wasn't sure what to expect. When we went inside, we were the only customers, granted it was in the middle of the day on a Thursday, so we didn't expect much of a crowd. We were greeted by a lady snacking (she was really friendly, but yes she was eating something) Lori. Once we sat down we were able to order drinks looked over the menu. The prices were really good. Lori who greeted us, I guess she was the bartender as well, she really did have great customer service. Very friendly didn't mind helping us at all. Then another woman, Kim who came out asked us what we would like to have... well she was the cook. Very friendly she recommended some dishes. We started off with the fried mushrooms... YUM! They were hot fresh. Very good! We all enjoyed them. We each ordered something different. I ordered the smoked shrimp roll. The hot dog bun was toasted perfectly which had HUGE shrimp, nicely seasoned fresh. It had a garlic aioli on it, as well as SALT VINEGAR chips! That won me over! I love S V chips the fact they put the chips ON the roll.... YES! That won it for me, but the flavor was there! My friend ordered the pulled pork nachos which were really good huge! My other friend ordered the cheeseburger. He really enjoyed it! The bun looked perfectly toasted buttery. We were all very pleased with the food! Which was delicious, hot, fresh! The portions were HUGE! They really didn't skimp on the amount of food they give you. Which is really good for the price! It would be nice if the workers were a little more professional maybe eat in the back of house? But the customer service was ON POINT! The place was also very clean!"
