"Great experience and great food! Top shelf drinks. Definitely worth the money. Service was outstanding from the hostess to the waiters. They were also kind enough to accommodate my request of moving my reservation back when I was running late. I really appreciated that!"

"the woman waiting for us was excellent, I didn't get her names, but she was very attentive, very courteous and pleasant. Unfortunately it was very cold (on the veranda wind really cut and heating not much of a job to do, but each attempt was made to make us comfortable (blank, on additional heating, etc. overall a really nice place and a beautiful experience, will be back when a bit warmer or book a 'bubble'!"

"Would not recommend for a casual tea. The space seems to be geared toward parties and private events, as they seemed uninterested in our business as a party of two. We ordered a pot of tea, which was nice, and an order of two small scones, a couple savory tea sandwiches, and a few sweets. All told, we were charged $80—exorbitant for the experience. Perhaps they are more accommodating and reasonably priced for larger groups."

""Nizza is a typical brunch spot located just a short walk from the Columbia Heights subway station. While the all-day brunch and lunch menus are a bit limited, I was hoping for a greater variety of options.""

"We absolutely love Flex Mussels! I wasn't a big fan of mussels until I tried them at this restaurant. The Thai mussels are simply the best. I also enjoy their oysters, delicious octopus, and the salmon dish is quite good as well. The upscale atmosphere is nice and the service is excellent. I highly recommend this restaurant!"

"It’s tough when a restaurant is so up hyped up that goers have such high expectations. We were not underwhelmed, but we weren’t overwhelmed either. It was “par“. Unfortunately the service is probably what lessened our experience – they were incredibly slow; other tables turning over, while we felt ignored toward the end. It didn’t help we were celebrating a birthday and no one was attentive to take our order. The veal and mortadella meatballs were one of the highlights. With the density you would expect them to be incredibly dry, but they were moist and had a great flavor. The chilled shrimp and mango had a solid crunch and flavor; the chili vinaigrette didn’t provide any heat you would have expected. The sea bass I love fish. I love sea bass. But this was NOT a $37 dish. It was small and rather unimaginative. What WAS worth it was Vernick’s signature dish the half chicken. Yes, you heard correctly. Chicken. I loathe ordering chicken out (I can make it at home, and quite well). Trust me, don’t miss out. The balance of flavor and crisp…it was impressive. To wrap up, the caramel brownie had great texture and flavor differences through each bite… which there are only two (small ones) of. Honestly, I don’t know if I’ll be back. It was good to try, but spending $160 on two people for a mediocre experience…We’ll see."

"I had a fantastic experience at this restaurant! The food was not only delicious but also affordable. It was so unique and fun to dine in the library hall of this beautiful historic building. Despite the bustling atmosphere of the large hall, the place settings and service were impeccable, and the food was incredible. Overall, it was a wonderful experience."

"This is a cute little place in Burlingame that functions as a breakfast cum brunch cum lunch fare. They’re open everyday until 2pm, and have quite a few options for food. They used to have a Redwood City Location too, but that’s permanently closed now. We went on a Sunday at noon, and there was no waiting. They’ve ample tables outside as well as inside. There is counter seating inside as well. We ordered French toast, Jalisco scramble and coffee. They’ve quite a few other options for scramble and other food too. They don’t have omelettes, in case you’re specifically looking for omelettes. The French toast tasted scrumptious, the scramble(which came with potatoes) was flavourful, and the coffee was well, as good as coffee can taste. The prices are decent considering the area. If you’ve a decent lunch veering on the edge of hearty, then expect to spend 20-25 dollars per person. They’ve a restroom at the back of the restaurant, and they keep it clean, which is nice. The service was prompt, and the servers along with the other staff did their best. Overall, it’s a nice local place to chill out and experience laid back vibes while dining in downtown Burlingame. There’s street parking nearby, and usually there are spots available. I’ll be back here again. Thank you to the staff!"

"A few days ago, I visited this restaurant for the first time and it was fantastic. They have an amazing selection of teas and a great variety of tea accessories, including water kettles, cups, tea sets, and even disposable biodegradable tea bags. The staff was very friendly and took the time to explain the differences and some history about the various types of tea. I will definitely be coming back!"

"this restaurant called and canceled our reservation on the same afternoon because they decided to close early. they gave no other explanation and a very weak apology. since I met friends from different places, I had to contact everyone and find another place to dinner in the last minute. I gave every category a 1 because I don't know otherwise and will never find out because they obviously don't know how to treat their customers with respect."

"This was our first time at this most delightful and delicious restaurant. We were treated to an incredible dinner with the most helpful, thoughtful and kind staff. Our bartender suggested an incredible Cabernet that we will definitely order again. Loved the atmosphere, the tasty biscuits instead of tasteless bread and the uniquely prepared entree offerings. Well done!!!"

"Loved the mezze platter (hummus and labneh most), scallops were excellent and the apple crisp dessert was the perfect end. I also loved their yuzu pear mocktail! Superb date night spot with views of the bridge."
