"I'm impressed this place isn't rated higher. Consider this a 4.5 rating rounded up. I arrived with the bf on a Sunday evening at 8:15 and we were the first table. Not a good sign, usually, but we reserved judgement for the food. We ordered the 38 (combo rice plate with shrimp, grilled pork and egg roll) and the garlic noodles with NY steak; along with a Thai iced tea (they were out of pearls, so no boba this time) and a Vietnamese iced coffee. The coffee was amazing, tastes like chocolate. The Thai iced tea? Meh, not worth as it also tasted metallic. Once our food arrived (within about 10 minutes) we were impressed! The steak was cooked mostly well done but was still very juicy, flavorful and tender. The garlic noodles is made with spaghetti noodles but had great flavor. The grilled pork was amazing! A little sweeter but I prefer it that way, the prawns tastes fresh and the egg roll was crunchy and delicious. The steak with garlic noodles came with A1 sauce on the side but you really don't need it. The #38 has the standard sweet fish sauce to dip and the pickled veggies were perfect. The service is pretty standard for Vietnamese so any lack thereof isn't counted against them. The total for us was 50.25, so we left $60 and agreed we would return if ever in the area. By the time we left two more tables had joined us. The pho bowls look huge so we will have to return to try them.Vegetarian options: Pho without meat, some veggie (but not vegan) options in most categories.Parking: Full parking lot surrounding the building."

"I have eaten here since I was a little child; in fact, when my father moved to the United States in his college years, he came here in her first year of opening. Although there can be some family prejudices with my review of Maxim 's, let me just say that the quality and selection of food here 't ever left me unsatisfied, even after over 20 years of eating here. Share a fairly recent experience last year: I had a small catering order for an event that requested authentic Chinese cuisine. At this time, I had not gone to many traditional Asian restaurants since 2020 (usually because they closed temporarily or permanently). The first place that came to mind was Maxim 's Seafood, and I was ecstatic to hear that they were able to fulfill my request. The order was ready at the specified time, well prepared, and a punctuated receipt was already attached (this is useful for those who request a refund for corporate events. The same couple that has been in this restaurant for decades is still there and still has so much effort to ensure guest satisfaction and tasty food, regardless of the economic circumstances facing us all. If you are looking for authentic and delicious Chinese / Vietnamese food (e.g. roast duck, Phó, sauteed cuisine, etc., please give these people a try. They deserve the support, especially in these unprecedented times. I will come back as much as possible, even though I live 30 minutes north. It's worth it before and now."
