"I ordered a meat and cheese tray from here and will never do it again. I tried to call and order it on Thursday but whoever answered the phone had no clue what I was talking about. Called back Friday and ordered a SLICED meat and cheese tray for pickup Saturday afternoon. Called on Saturday morning to change the pick up time to 9AM Sunday morning. Ensured they opened at 9 onSundays and confirmed the pick up. Went today to pick up the meat and cheese tray. Had to bang on the doors and windows from 9AMuntil they FINALLY opened them at 9:15. Said I was there to pick up an order and was told they didn 't have an order for me. Isaid I had ordered it on Friday for pick up yesterday but then changed the pick up yesterday to today. I got a yeah no one madeit from the girl that appeared to be in charge. I told them I needed it and asked if they could put it together quickly. Theysaid they could do it in about 10 minutes. I said that was fine and waited the 10 minutes. When they handed me the tray, Ilifted up the foil to look at it and it was all CUBED meat and cheese. I told them I had ordered it SLICED and again got wellthey didn 't put that on the note from the woman in charge. I asked them if they could fix it for me since I was wanting thisfor sandwiches. She said yeah but it will take longer than 10 minutes . I told her that was fine because I still needed it.When I was handed the tray at 9:50AM I looked at it again and there wasn 't any cheese to be seen. I asked where it was and theysaid it 's under the meat . Needless to say I had to take it to my party and REMAKE it so people could actually eat both themeat AND cheese on their sandwiches. They tried to give it to me for free and I refused the offer because I had all intentionsof paying. I gave them the $60 they had quoted me and was told from the kid running the register that there was no charge. Itold him that wasn 't the point, I was quoted $60 here 's the money. I WILL NEVER ORDER FROM THEM AGAIN!!"

"Always fantastic and the only place in town with mutton! Had to stop and grab some carryout for a late lunch yesterday! Huge pork ribs that were fall off the bone tender, half a chicken and the only place in town that serves mutton! Potato salad was excellent sometimes it is made with too much mayo or mustard as were the baked beans. Seasoned very well with some bacon and bbq sauce ? . The coleslaw was made with vinegar instead of mayo my preference and some celery seeds added the perfect flavor punch earthy and grassy with a slight bitter edge. Don’t forget about this great local restaurant with World Championship winning BBQ! They were an Evansville Restaurant Week participating restaurant in 2016 and also have burgoo available this time of year."

"The menu is impressive, making it difficult to choose what to order. Our food was outstanding, and the service was both friendly and efficient! We also observed how well the servers collaborated and assisted each other without needing to be asked. Their positive attitudes were fantastic! I highly recommend this place! Additionally, we were greeted outside by a mule deer fawn, which we had never seen before."

"Excellent food!! We usually settle for takeout but finally managed to eat in. Food was great: fried scallops were very good and juicy. All fish is fresh and our server, I think he was the owner as well, was extremely personable and helpful. The chicken was juicy. My only wish is for more honey on the fried chicken to really hit home with the sweet/savory combo!!"

"Every single time we've gone here we've gotten overcharged. We've had several more beers/drinks added to our tab than what we had. The first time we went someone else paid and didn't think the total was right. When he got the itemized receipt we realized they added 4 more drinks than what we actually got. People have told us to watch out for this but we didn't realize it was such an issue until it happened 3 times in a row. The bartender always apologizes and says it was a mistake made by someone else, but I don't understand how so much extra can be added to a tab with no explanation. We only had one bartender the whole time so why would someone else be adding multiple drinks to our tab? Bad business."
