"my excitement to take my wife to eat at bb for months. I heard about it in the wmal radio and couldn't wait. I would read and read their website. the first red flag was when I asked for reservations. the person who answered the phone simply said hello, not answer with the name of the restaurant, so I had to ask to ensure. then I could hardly understand what they said, so I called again when it came closer to the special date. the same thing happened. Thank you, when we arrived, we had reservations, because noone was allowed to feed only when they had stopped. now for a culinary experience. our waiter was new and knew nothing about the bourbons and even told me about the available flights. he also knew nothing about any of the foods because managment and peculiarities do not offer any possibilities for one of the server to try them. obsurd. now to the only positive part of the experience, except the company of my amazing braut of 39 years. eating was amazing. one of the best steaks I've ever had and my wife's cured. the seafood we had with the steak (scallops and lobsters) were also perfectly cooked and were amazing. all that has said, the hard wooden chairs were so uncomfortable and your almost sitting in the round of the people beside you. we had to be lucky to sit next to a Gung-ho-Military guy who thought the F word was manifold. we must have heard it at least 75 times. Thank God it was good to eat. one last thing. eating is too expensive."

"First of all, the house dressing? UNBELIEVABLY GOOD. And I’ve never eaten anything from this place that wasn’t delicious (and I’ve been going for 10+ years). But I’m writing this review because of how well they handled my partner’s allergy. We often have problems when placing orders because we emphasize that he has an allergy to milk (not lactose intolerance, an actual allergy), and when we get they meal, 70% of the time they still gave us the milk/cheese. I wish I got her name, but the woman on the phone was so knowledgeable about the ingredients used and took so much care with double making sure with the cook in the back for what he used when we arrived to pick up the order. Thank you, Giovanni’s!"

"The food here is good for takeout. Good flavors and always areives warm. Chinese food is becoming too expensive in NYC and this place is no exception. Delivery is fast though which is a plus.They charge $1.35 per order for BBQ sauce on wings which is crazy. They told me because it's expensive, but other Chinese food in our city has BBQ chicken embedded on their menu and/or let's you throw sauce on it yourself.In this area, there's pros and cons to each place but I'd say this is a well rounded spot for Chinese takeout."

"I've never been disappointed by Mastros. I celebrated my anniversary there and they were not disappointed. I had a killer ridge eye with molten Bleu cheese up with sautéed jalapeños, which is for dying. My wife, the twin slumber. We shared the gnocchi and sautéed shrimps. I'll give him 10! An extra dirty martini filled with bleu cheese olives. I highly recommend sitting in the bar area. The singers are brilliant and it creates a great ambience."

"The staff at Mastro 's is always top notch. Notably, our server (Erika) was appropriately attentive and helpful. Everything from the steaks to the side dishes were done very well, as usual. We are never disappointed with the steaks. The 'only ' exception was the asparagus, which was a bit fibrous. We would have been happy with the tips, which eliminates much of the fibrous lower stalk, but I understand customers tend to want the full stalk. On the positive side, the halibut was thick and perfectly seared. Some of the best halibut we 've ever had, as it can be difficult to cook such a delicate fish. The wild mushrooms in truffle butter and garlic mashed potatoes were also very good. We really enjoy visiting Mastro 's and will certainly be back again."

"For a restaurant that specializes in cooking steaks, it was disappointing to see on all 3 steak entrees ordered that medium rare all came out medium. Still tasty, but off the mark. Considering the price and area of expertise, an unfortunate outcome. The tuna tartar was underwhelming as well. Very bland. Been coming to Mastro's for years and I wonder if there is new blood (pardon the pun) in the kitchen. My only advise is to ask for rare if you want medium rare, etc, etc."

"The service was impeccable. We sat in the bar so the ambience was just what we were looking for with the live music. The cosmopolitans, shrimp and steak were outstanding. The macaroni and cheese was dry and tasted like kraft Parmesan. We’re disappointed they no longer have au gratin potatoes. Overall a pleasant experience and we will return."

"After having eaten here with my family, I would never eat or recommend this restaurant to everyone again. The server we had was extremely rude. My daughter ordered quite clearly fried rice and the person brought her fried rice and said that is what she actually ordered. She never once asked us if our meal is good or even refills our waterglass. The worst part was that she ran out of the restaurant and actually chased us into our car and screamed that she demanded a big top. It was incredible and unacceptable. If the owner does not get a grip on his employees and quality of food, he will actually lose more valued customers."
