"John our server was accommodating. We were seated riverfront under umbrellas on the sand for a “beachfront” experience. Band the night we dined wasn’t great and definitely too loud even though we were pretty far away. It’s a restaurant guys, not a club. Lower the volume during dinner time. Main courses were very good (though guac) needed salt). Shrimp cocktail and cappuccino good. John our server was accommodating. Pasta, pork chops, swordfish, short ribs all very tasty though two thin pork chops arrived much chewier and well done vs. the promised medium. No complaints from guest’s Desserts including apple cobbler and lava cookie. Pricey but the view of GMC bridge and river is outstanding."

"Really cute place, only about 7 months old, it's food from Nepal. The staff are very nice and will help you choose the food if you don't know all of the menus. Good portions at a fair price for really unique food (and really good food!)"

"I was not in martel in a few years and was not sure if I would still enjoy it. my fears were unfounded. the service was as always top notch. and eating. Oh man, eating is something of the best in town. I had a great drink in the autumn in manhattan followed by a nice charcuterie board. my fatuccini bolognese was mouthwater. this pasta was so fresh, the aromen so good, and yet super light. my friend had a cloth and loved it. I finished the meal with a big banana cream bubbly. can't wait to go back!"

"A typical restaurant sports bar with carved wood furniture, peanut shells hanging on the floor and sporty memory of the wall. This must be a Stanford-connected diving bar, as several Stanford football players were spied around the consumption of beer. If you just want a place to hang out, be loud and watch sports, this is a good choice."

"Went for a birthday dinner, and all started well. Cocktails and appetizers were served in a timely manner and tasty. Then, a pungent and pervasive odor of strong lavender came over our table, and we waited for over an hour for our main dishes. The worst part was the smell in the air, which sadly changed the taste in my mouth and made enjoying my meal difficult once it arrived. It certainly dampened the mood of the evening and I left feeling disappointed. Not sure what happened in the restaurant with the smell, but it was quite unfortunate. Roost is usually a go to spot, but tonight, it missed the mark."

"I can see why this place is always mentioned as a go to pizzeria:The crust has the right amount of crunch, chew, and fluffinessToppings are fresh and abundantYou get your money's worth in size and qualityWe got the small combo and it's the size of your typical medium! Wings were unfortunately overcooked, but it may have been an off day so I'll c9me back to see if they redeem themselves. One thing to note, their combination pizza flavor has a unique taste, and after picking off the toppings we discovered it's from the sausage... not your typical Italian sausage with a fennel forward taste but a flavor forward chili powder. It isn't bad but it is different. We'll come back for sure the vibe is great, pet friendly, great and quality food/drinks!"
