"The food was great, but the service was poor. We were of total tables in the downstairs area, so it wasn't due to the place being busy. We sat down and were able to order pretty quickly, and the food arrived not too long after. The problem was that the server just wasn't there after our food was served. Our drinks were out and the bartender actually came out from behind the bar to refill our drinks. Once we were done eating, we waited close to minutes to get the bill. Multiple times we tried to stop our server to ask for it, but she rushed by or didn't come by our table. I would come again because the food was good and just hope that the server was having a bad night"

"Both salads—the house salad and the Caesar—were delicious, though they were quite standard in flavor. The prime tenderloin was cooked to perfection with a pleasing peppered and salted crust, accompanied by pickled red wine reduction onions and béarnaise sauce. The lobster risotto, while perfectly prepared, had an overpowering seafood taste, and the white wine in it wasn't reduced enough. On the other hand, the lobster mac and cheese was rich and delightful. The crème brûlée was decent, but nothing exceptional. Overall, this steakhouse is definitely worth a visit if you're in Waco!"

"The fondue bread crust was incredible. Variety of foods for dipping including apples, beets and small potatoes as well as the usual bread crusts. Two of us ordered monkfish and two of us ordered the lamb belly which basically was a ramen based dish. It was excellent but also interesting-contained one poached egg. They did not hesitate bringing us samples of wine to taste before deciding on the bottles to order."

"My daughter and I were there for Thanksgiving and we were really impressed! The service was welcoming and attentive. I had served her offer for Thanksgiving, the roasted Turkey in lemon and Greek spices with a delicious side of rice and start with a Greek salad. My daughter had the lamb chops with potatoes and steamed vegetables. She also started with a Greek salad and she said it took her back to Greece!!"

"We have to place 38 often. This visit and an earlier visit were disappointing that the service was missing. We waited a very long time for the order and also a fairly long time for our meal. The pork sandwich was filled with fat and not served as ordered. We asked for Koleslaw on the side without onions and it came with both. Don't think we'll book this restaurant again."

"Amazing experience with Agusto as the manager, and Antonio as the server on the rooftop bar. Drinks were great, food was great. Everyone was cheerful, friendly, and prompt with service even though they are BUSY. Would 100% recommend to anyone in the area to stop by for a drink on the rooftop bar or to stop in for some food. "Coming to Mona's is always a good time. However, my last time there, I called to say I was going to be a few mins late (5 mins) and my table wasn't saved. Plus I had less people in my party. We weren't accommodated until almost 45 mins later. I was NOT happy as this was a birthday surprise for my Fiancé. "How long will Praline fly under the radar? The food is wonderful, you can hear yourself talk, and there is ample free parking. This time we shared a butternut squash salad (they are enormous) and enjoyed trout almondine and scallops on a mushroom risotto. Cocktails are tasty and the wine list is varied with unusually helpful notes. The dining tables are located upstairs surrounding an atrium with lots of open space, keeping noise down. Only a few minor flaws and a slow start marred the otherwise fine service. We were curious about the brunch menu, and after seeing it, decided we will not only have to come for brunch, we'll have to come more than once."
