"As usual the food was exceptional but the service was lacking. Not at all what I have been used to at Larkins. Our waiter came gave us water took our drinks and our orders. Drinks were great. Someone else brought our food and since we both had steak, we had to ask for steak knives. Our original waiter checked on us once to see that the food was to our liking. We didn't see him after that. Other tables had received bread upon sitting, we did not. We were done eating for about 15 minutes and would have ordered dessert but we couldn't find our waiter. Finally I asked another waitress for a box for leftovers and to ask our waiter for our check. She brought a bag with the leftovers to us, and then our waiter finally appeared with our check. Needless to say, his tip reflected the service we received"

"I recently dined at The Paddock Restaurant, and I must say, their fish and chips were absolutely fantastic! The crispy batter and tender fish were simply delightful. What impressed me even more were the great prices they offered. It's rare to find such high-quality seafood at such affordable rates. Moreover, the service was top-notch. The staff was friendly, attentive, and ensured that my dining experience was nothing short of excellent. If you're a fan of fish and chips, I highly recommend giving The Paddock Restaurant a visit. "Wife and I ate here last Friday as part of our Anniversary trip. We were seated quickly as there wasn’t any other patrons there, we were seated outside on the patio, it was a lovely evening, right temperature, good amount of shade etc. Our server was attentive and offered good suggestions. My wife had the crab cakes and French Onion soup. I chose the Duck breast. It was helpful that the menu’s already had the alcohol pairing suggestions. We both went with the Pinot Noir. The Duck was great, although the fat on it didn’t melt in my mouth as much as I wanted it too, but other than the texture of the fat, the taste and texture of the the breast was on point. The pricing was very reasonable, I would recommend to anyone that is looking for a nice place in Lava to dine. Service: Dine in Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5"
