"On Sunday at noon, the restaurant was bustling with a 15-minute wait. I passed the time by browsing the internet. I must say, whoever baked the cookies that day deserves special recognition. They were the most delicious cookies I've ever had at a cracker barrel. I ordered a hearty meal of two eggs, bacon, grits, sausage, cookies, and fried apples. It was very satisfying! Our server was friendly and efficient. I highly recommend keeping the cookie maker happy, as it will result in happy customers like myself."

"Lovely restaurant in Fairbanks with great food and atmosphere. Their hoagie rolls and home brew tea are the best. Today (Sunday night), I ordered the brew tea as I usually do. When I asked for a refill I was told they ran out. I asked for a lemonade instead and when asked for a refill on that, I was told they were out too. However, I had seen the waitress pouring the lemonade and they had plenty of it in a large jug. I’ve never had an issue with getting my drink refilled before. I’m not sure why she was lying but it was disappointing. Besides that, staff is usually very friendly and helpful."

"Stop for some quick food and this place not disappointed. It is affordable with a nice simple menu selection; Sandwiches, pizzas, salads, desserts and cheap children's menu. Staff if warm and welcoming and helpful recommendations. The dining area is clean and relaxing. Wife had half the pair, this is half sandwich and cup of soup $9.79. I had the big couple, the whole sandwich and the cup of loaded potato soup. Loaded potato soup was creamy and tasty and woman had the tomatoes basil that is more of tomatoes than creamy. Definitely recommend"

"I ordered the chipotle bacon chicken spud and was very disappointed. I drive 15minutes for this potato once a week and this time the chef must've been going through a rough day because they topped my spud with black burnt bacon. I am so upset. How could they even think this was okay to pass on? Did they think I wouldn't notice. I guess I will have to find a new McAlister's to visit for a while. Highly upset."
