"Absolutely love the food and people here! Definitely check it out if you want to have some authentic and delicious Dominican food here in the Bronx. The staff really makes you feel like family. They are extremely busy so if ordering delivery, anticipate at least a 30-45 minute wait."

"I go here all the time as a dominican myself the only criticism is please put less saltly flavor in the sancocho, i know we are to combine it with white rice but still. Food is good, beans are soft and delicious, and mangu is just right in texture and if you call they have the order for you to pick up when they say. Dining in they are good, attentive to come by, but sometimes it can be hard to get your servers attention when its not busy because they are all at the front desk taking walk-ins."

"This place has a great selection of delicious Dominican food for very reasonable prices. It's definitely more of a takeout spot but they do have some tables and outdoor seating. The chicken here is so good! I've also had the sancocho and was impressed. They have a separate area where you can get fresh juices. Overall, the quality of the food here is really good and the service is friendly."

"The only thing Cuban about this place is the name; the menu is primarily Dominican food. I ordered a pork sandwich, but the meat was tough, chewy, cold, and tasteless. The bun wasn't even warmed up. I requested Swiss cheese but received queso blanco instead. The server didn't provide any napkins, and when I asked for a glass of water, that's all I got; I also ordered black coffee but was served espresso instead. I tried the croquetas de jamón, but they were nothing special. Would I return? Absolutely not! They clearly don’t know what they're doing."

"Food is never consistent. Tostones were super salty and Pernil was dry. They brought the food and green sauce was spilled all over the bag. They buzzed wrong apartment and then they took the food back to restaurant. It was raining and when they broughtit back it was all wet and cold. They didn't even have the common sense to change the bag. Also delivery guy got mad cause hehad to come back and was alittle rude. I told him straight up to talk to shorty who answers the phone and that's not my problemhe had to come twice. He said he's all wet, I said it's water you're not gonna melt. This place is a hot mess. I wouldn'trecommend this place to anyone and won't ever eat there again.????"

"The food is too pricey, they serve you only a half of cup of beans and white rice. Usually authentic restaurants serve you more beans then that especially if it's for two people. Their bathrooms have water saving old system which sadly they need to change asap. It gets clogged to easy and to me that's a big don't go back. They only get 2 stars because they do have a bar and the place is bit centric for a stop and go but I would not recommend it for a picky, clean eater like myself.Wheelchair accessibility: They have a ramp but don't go past 4:00pm too crowded."

"I have visited the Poughkeepsie location, and I have to say that Golden Corral is far better. First of all, during both of my visits around noon, I thought I was paying the lunch price of $12.75 per person. However, each time I was charged $17.99 per person and was told that it’s dinner all day. That’s not what your sign indicates, and there’s no mention of “Dinner all Day” anywhere to be found. I find that really frustrating. As a result, I didn’t tip the bus girl, as she shouldn’t have to bear the brunt of the extra charges being made. If they’re charging me an additional $5 per person illegally, they can give that money to her. There’s no lunch price displayed when entering the restaurant, yet you suddenly charge dinner prices at noon. Sorry, but your scheme has been uncovered. Don’t expect me to tip anyone."

"I've been craving mangú ever since we returned home one day and someone else's tres golpes order was left on our doorknob. Today I went searching for a nearby restaurant that offered mangú for brekkie and ordered from Jr primos which is also known as Los Primos Restaurant and 690 Los Primos, both on Grubhub and online. Whatever the actual name, I chose them because of the many types of hits they offered. I ordered some plain mangú, a four hit mangú, a two hit mangú and some french toast with beef sausage. The packaging could have been better. Everything is really oily and some of the packaging got beat up during delivery so I had a pool of oil in the bag which made the paper bag rip. The four hit says it comes with the whole shebang: two eggs any style, fried cheese, fried salami, bacon or ham, longaniza, and your choice of mangú, cassava, malanga or mashed potatoes. Unfortunately, my son's order was missing two other proteins based on the ordering menu, ham and bacon. The two hit came with fried salami, fried cheese, two eggs and the same starch choice. We went with mangú for everything. Again, it was missing a protein so not sure if it is just a typo on the food delivery app. The french toast came with choice of meat. I ordered the beef sausage but that was cooked to death, dry and hard. This was ordered for my tot but she's not feeling too well so she didn't eat it. The french toast looked fine, nothing special about it and you could smell the cinnamon. Everything was still warm when we got it so I was happy about that. The mangú was very bland. I had to add salt to it which I wasn't happy about. The eggs were also bland. I'm giving two stars because of the missing items, packaging and flavor. Still on the hunt for some bomb mangú. Times like this I wish I still lived in Yonkers, near Washington Heights."

"This review is not based on food or service, just an unpleasant recent experience. My family and I are regulars here and we are usually very content with the food and service, however on the morning of June 3rd we left the establishment very sad, confused and disappointed. My husband and I were seriously over charged for breakfast. We were each charged $22 for boiled green plantains with chuleta. So our breakfast included 2 breakfast plates of green boiled bananas with meat 2 passion fruit juices and 1 to go small dessert $62. It made us sad to be overcharged because we have been supporting this business since day 1 especially during the covid lockdown . I understand that inflation has had a negative effect on businesses and everyone in general but No one should have to pay $22 for boiled green bananas. My suggestion is keep the prices at a reasonable range."
"I have eaten from this restaurant for a few years. My colleagues from school where I work at love this spot. Their food is very good and the service from the staff is very good as well. I am very satisfied. Friendly staff and also help when you can't find parking they try to take your order quickly. I appreciate all of this staff. Great job guys. 10 STARS from me!!"

"Use to be great foodUntil they decided to open up different restaurants on grubhub under the same exact address. Something is suspicious about these owners. The quality of food went down after that"

"The food is good. Mofongo was fresh, pastelito de queso tasted like it was just made. They were out of pastel en hoja but gave more pastelitos instead. Worth going to for food, but be patient, it will probably be busy. It's got that sitting down with the family feel to it."
