"We had a late dinner here recently. I had not been here for years but my experiences had always been great. The menu is a bit eclectic with duck taquitos and other interesting choices. Chips and salsa are both fresh and delicious. I had the blackened ahi tuna tacos. The portion sizes are huge and incredibly flavorful. However, later that evening I did not feel well and experienced nausea and gastrointestinal problems over the next day. This meal was the only possible source of the problem as I had not eaten during the day except for some beverages. It put me off my meal experience here. We'll try it again someday but I'll be more cautious about what I order."

"We arrived around 7pm CST for dinner. My spouse had his mind set on some “queso fundido” as an appetizer. Although the item was on their menu, it stated it was a blend of poblano peppers and mushrooms. With disappointment we asked if they could accommodate any changes for this. Our waiter was ver gracious (Marcos) as he stated they could accommodate our request of their chorizo with the queso. They rest of the meal was just as wonderful as the service. "Highland Park: Love the food and atmosphere! Best service! However, I’m more disappointed by your hours. Within the last month, I’ve tried to bring my family for a birthday dinner on Saturday and tonight wanted to take my kids out for dinner and you’re closed. I wish you would open on Friday and Saturdays."

"Blueberry pancakes plate was outstanding with thick crisp bacon! Very pleased with the service the coffee and the food! Highly recommend, but better get there before the rush or you will be waiting. Apparently , a lot of people find it excellent also!"

"Spotted the then new resturant a few years back and gave it a try. My family and I a strong supporters of Mom and Pop businesses, and Riverside is one of our favorites. We haven't had anything that wasn't the best of the best. I typically get burgers, the steak sandwich or fish. Their fries are among the best on the planet!
