"I used to come here when I was little. I am here visiting from Texas now as an adult. I had been craving straw hat not only because of the pizza being amazing but because of the memories I had here. I am pretty put off and disappointed of how my bf who I bragged about this place to was talked to by aaron when he asked for water not being familiar with this place and when I asked for another ranch from Aaron our person who delivered our pizza to our table and his mannerisms asking for the napkin box and the passive aggressiveness he conducted himself with was not only bad taste but definitely not the behavior of someone that should be in service industry. I have years of serving and bartending behind me and my bad days or emotions were required to be left at the door of the business I represented. Apparently that's vastly different of an expectation here. The pizza was amazing we had the cali chicken bacon ranch pizza I will not be back. Memories or not. Kid-friendliness: Games for kiddos to play and kid friendly atmosphere but also adult friendly as they serve alcoholic beverages"

"Nostalgie is the drug: I am originally from Sacramento and have many beautiful memories of Straw Hat Pizza. It was a long, long time since I returned to Sac city. So I wouldn't miss a chance to try what used to be my favorite pizza. Either I have no taste buds as a child, I do not remember the quality, or Straw Hat Pizza has changed its quality / style. It wasn't exactly the same. The crust was crack-like, rather similar to a fancier Totinos, the turns were fine, but had a strange aftertaste. The price was reasonable. But apart from that, my childhood memories were stained..."

"Pizza was mediocre at best. Mention their coupon on their Instagram for a Free Medium 1 topping Pizza with Purchase of Large Master Pizza. The dough tasted like it was frozen then microwaved instead of freshly made. Service was slow and unreliable. I called in to order an hour ahead and they were still late by 20 minutes. There was a long line but nobody at the counter so I had to ring the bell to get a crew member's attention. There were at least four workers back therebut perhaps it was just a bad day for them."
