"Most negative reviews are from age. Now the place is pretty good. It's the best pizza in these sticks here. It's a little common, but the other options in the area seem to enjoy fat on their cakes. This place is pretty decent. The service was good. I order. They deliver. I ordered hamburgers one time that wasn't so hot and they seemed worried about why I didn't like it and returned my money. Better service than that. I ordered a burger on another day and it was pretty good. Maybe a free day. It happens. People there are really nice and things are clean and run smoothly. I can't complain. It's food if you don't want to cook. Everything else in this area stinks so much that says."

"as a native new yorker I don't know what the other reviews are about. I had a regular disc and it was great. Thin, crispy crust that did not have a beautiful tart sauce and perfectly good cheese. service was super friendly if only slightly slow. Yeah, at $3,75 it was a little more than I expected, but did someone hear about the inflation and the disc was very good. about these reviews upset about the minimum credit card, grow and get some cash."

"The store was clean and smelled great. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They spoke both English and Portuguese, which worked for the group I was with. The food and drinks came out relatively quickly and everything was brought right to our table. The pizzas were cooked perfectly to our liking. Soft on top and just a little crispy on the bottom, so the slices didn't flop all over the place. The toppings were of great quality as well. We got 2 small pizzas and a small dessert pizza. That was enough for 4 people. We loved the food and will be going back for sure!"

"Last Saturday we brought an awesome autism party of over 25 guests to New York Pizza Dept in Avondale. The staff communicated with me throughout the preceding two weeks to make sure everything was ready. On the day of our party, we called to say we were on our way. They pushed tables together and got a space ready for us. They prepared about fifteen cheese and pepperoni pizza pies for us that were delicious, plentiful and hot out of the oven when we arrived. The staff was highly attentive and made sure none of our guests wanted for anything. If we finished our drinks, the glasses were refilled before we even saw them walk by. They wanted to make sure we enjoyed ourselves and WE DID! Two thumbs up for New York Pizza Dept. in Avondale and their awesome, attentive staff. We WILL be back!"
