"Holy poo, had the Italian Beef with Hot Peppers and Portillo Way (extra gravy). The bread was toasty and held up great with the beef. Peppers added great zing and the beef itself was full of flavor. My only regret? I wish I had a 2nd stomach to eat another!"

We ordered through Door Dash and the order went through three Door Dash drivers — the first two drivers abandoned the delivery after showing up to Portillos and because the order wasn’t ready when they showed up. "How can you beat portillos?!? This place is always hopping but they move quick and are accurate with the orders. The employees are friendly and engaging. Makes coming from Lutheran General a little easier. Pro tip- they use beef tallow for the fries and onion rings. The breaded fish is corn oil."
"If I could give zero stars I would, The workers here are always rude. Last time I came here I tired to order inside but some big lady who I presume was a manger told me to go through the drive thru only for me to be told to go back inside only for the same lady to end up giving me my order. "This particular Portillos-Barnellis has gone downhill since Covid. You can't just call in an order to pickup at the drive thru anymore. Almost everything must be done online via their app. This makes things more complicated for special requests that are easier to make over the phone. The menu also changed during Covid and they eliminated all the food I liked. Garlic bread was eliminated from the menu for over 2 years. I mean… c'mon.. how hard is it to make garlic bread?
