"We have a really big Running/Walking Group and just finished a race. We were looking for a place that could handle a group our size, on a Saturday, with an outside seating area (we were pretty active in that race Shoal Creek has a great enclosed/outdoor seating area. We were able to use that without disturbing their regular Brunch guests. First the accommodations: 5 star The Managers (Valerie Trey) were very kind and helpful. We had been turned away from a few places because they didn't have an outdoor space and couldn't fit a group our size. Valerie Trey never even blinked. They said of course and just come by and we will take care of you, and they didn't disappoint. Wait Staff: 5 Star Micaiah Hannah B were there for us without being intrusive, professional and attentive, just all around wonderful. We will be back in August and hope we have them as out wait staff again. Food: We ordered from the Brunch menu (see pic) but they have the full menu as well. The food was perfectly prepared (my complements to the Chef). It was so delicious, everyone just kept saying how good it was. This will be a regular place for us now, we feel like they are part of our Group. Thank you Shoal Creek for a great Brunch!"

"We were a party of 9 and the seating was not very spacious as it felt a little too clusterd. However, we had a great time, the wait service was very attentive to our group and provided excellent service. The portion size for meals were perfect. I think everyone was pleased with their meals. I ordered the chicken and waffles and I thought the chicken could have used a little more seasoning but everything else was tasty. I would suggest though that they expand their drink menu to include more cocktails because some of wanted some kind of fruity or frozen deliciousness and no such drink was on the menu."

"I never want to eat another croissant unless it comes from Railcar Modern American Kitchen. I’m seriously ready to make that pledge. We had brunch there a couple weeks ago and everything was very nice but the croissant they brought us to share before our meal was completely unforgettable. I don’t know if we were just completely famished when we went or the timing was just perfect but, man, that croissant was incredible. It had just the lightest amount of sugar on top. It was airy and fresh. We bragged about that croissant to several people later that day. That was our first brunch experience there so I don’t know if this is something they do for everyone but it’s well worth a trip just to try that beautiful croissant."

"I was curious about the catfish beignets on the menu at Z'Tejas, but unfortunately I didn't get to try them. The brunch at this restaurant is delicious, filling, and perfect for weekends. They offer traditional tex-mex dishes as well as some unique options like the barbacoa omelet, which is a great combination of meat and eggs. The only downside was that the potatoes were a bit soggy from being covered by the omelet, but the fajita eggs were so tasty that they could have easily been a dish for two. Overall, a happy eating experience at Z'Tejas."

"Waitress was exceptional. The menu has changed in which they took two items off the reel seafood platter but increased the price. The portion of catfish was extremely thin and small and overcooked. The shrimp were small. I wouldn’t pay $30 for a plate here again. I am a frequent customer, however I’ll return but only to have their appetizer then go to Long John Silvers for my fish cravings. The owners really need to take the recent reviews to heart if they want to stay in business."

"Regarding the food, I was blown away by the single blueberry pancake with fresh blueberries in the batter and on top. The flavor was perfect, and I didn't even need syrup. The skirt steak with charred broccoli rabe and garlic mashed potatoes was also delicious, with great seasoning and perfectly cooked steak. I can't recommend Grayson Social enough, as it truly is a hidden gem. The staff, food, drinks, and atmosphere are all outstanding. I can't wait to visit again on my next trip to Dallas!"

"we came to the Mother's Brunch, so it was a special occasion. we had 2 server, but none of them could help us. we sat 15 minutes before our greeting on our table and our drinks orders were accepted. they did not bring our supplements for all four of our meals, we had to ask several times. they finally brought them at the end of our meal when we were finished. not helpful. we had to wipe them every time we wanted to refill a glass of champagne and children. I understand it's a busy day, but they seemed no less personal. very disappointing for a special occasion. "First time here because it recently opened however this bldg was a different restaurant a few yrs ago. Anyway, i was impressed. Lots of visual room, seating took a few mins no biggie. The waiter was OK but he was definitely not Italian and this was not an authentic Italian restaurant. No matter the food was reeeally good. The bottle of Chardonay was good and moderately priced. They do not give military discounts like many other restaurants on the riverwalk. Their prices were a little higher than other restaurants. "while we had a wonderful server, our pasta was too thick, the sosse was only tasteful and the hem was dry and hard. We celebrated our annual day and despite the announcement of the restaurant before our visit, which special occasion we celebrated, there was not even a recognition that we were there for the jubilee celebration. all this together was not a satisfying experience."
