"have already heard one thing about this place and was curious to try, but was disappointed to discover that many of the well-respected dishes, like the tandoori escape and the goat mother, are no longer on the menu. what remains is sufficient, but hardly special. peat stew and okra side were decent, but goan meeres fruit curry offered dry, overboiled fish and the opening somosa chaat was bland. in the did nothing was especially spicy, including the dishes we demanded as spicy. points found for the piece ceramic in the chaat, which wait long to order, and the almost incomprehensible server. this place may have been especially on the opening, but it seems to destroy its offers to expand its appeal, which means it is just another Indian place in the neighbourhood now, but with higher trips and less appropriate execution. skip."

"I was craving biryani and after reading positive reviews about this place, I decided to visit. It is situated in the Oakland neighborhood surrounded by many Pitts buildings. The interior is a bit run-down and not very inviting. I considered getting takeout instead of dining in because of this. The ambiance is definitely not the reason to visit, but the hospitality is worth mentioning. While I waited for my order, I was pleasantly surprised with a glass of cold water and a bowl of rice pudding, known as Payesh in Bengali. Where else can you get a complimentary dessert with takeout? This is true South Asian hospitality. The biryani itself was better than average. It was not the traditional Bengali biryani with potatoes and eggs that I am used to, but seemed to be a blend of Bangladeshi biryani which was a new experience for me. It was heavily seasoned and the portion size was generous. I may return to try the buffet as it is apparently popular among customers. Overall, it is a great choice if you are looking for good value."

"After we were seated, our server did not check on us for quite a while, and at one point, they accidentally spilled water on both me and my friend while refilling our cups. On the bright side, we ordered the chicken tikka kathi roll and fries, along with the tikka burger, and both dishes were absolutely delicious. I really enjoyed the meal, as did my friend."

"I usually don't write reviews, but more people should know about this place. The food here is fantastic and made with love. We have tried the other Indian places in the area (including those in Franklin) and they do not compare at all. Our servers were Freddi and Peter, they were both super friendly and delivered excellent recommendations. They also did not seem to remember when we had a lot of questions about India, where they were out, food, language, etc. My wife can sometimes be really annoying, but they did not seem to worry about her Yapping, it was a relief for me! We had to begin the tomato soup that had a really unique taste, it was easier that other tomato soups I had in the past, but the taste profile was more complicated. For a main course we had Lamb Vindalo, Chicken Madras and a random vegetarian dish with 9 vegetables, herbs and fruits. Everything was better than any Indian I had in the area. In addition, Freddi made some really good drinks that my wife loved! Not too sweet, refreshing and easy on the sauce. I think next time we'll take a Uber so we can taste all cocktails! Very recommended!"

"gentleman was very well known for vegan products. he let me order from the new vegan menu that is not even available yet! I ordered #119. it is mainly cauliflower, potatoes with a spicy taste. they can choose from mild, medium or hot seasonings. it was wonderfully full of taste! I also have roti. it is like a pita, but flattered and it complicated the flower carving shell"

"Flavor was great, I enjoyed the Lamb Biryani, was was very well seasoned and was well portioned. The lamb itself did not have the gamey flavor that I'm used to when eating lamb. The Naan was also very unique tasting, there's a bit of butter on it and it's toasted very nicely. Also had the Napoli Lamb Taas Set and the Soup Momo, which was equally as good. I'd definitely come back again. Vegetarian options: There's a whole section in the menu dedicated to vegetarian dishes, you won't have trouble finding something you like if you are vegetarian."

"A friend and I decided to come here for the 1st time this week and we were not disappointed. Starting with the atmosphere, I really enjoyed that they had Indian music videos playing. Outside of watching a one off Bollywood movie I have personally not heard a lot of this genre of music so it was nice to hear different kinds of music from the Indian culture. The 4 stars just comes from some of the decor that seemed out of place, like the paper doilies under the glass on the table that looks like it was left from valentines day. Nothing major but just something I took note of. About the serive, the women that waited on us was really nice but she was MIA sometimes and based on the conversation I overheard from 2 elderly women that were sitting close by she was neglectful at times. I didnt have any major issues with the service I just wish she was a bit more attentive with our drink refills or just updating us on our food since there weren't a lot of people in there dining and we did have quite a wait for our food. She later explain that they made the tandoori chicken to order so it takes a little longer. I also noticed that even though the dining area was empty the seemed to have a lot of doordash, ubereats orders come through. So, about our meals. Everything we had was SOOOO DELICIOUS and well worth the wait! The samosas were packed with filling and flavor. It was paired with a green type of salsa and a sweet kind of sauce. Not sure what the actual name of it was but they were both tasty. As you can see from the video I added my chicken tandoori was brought out sizzling hot and my grilled onions were ACTUALLY grilled. I hate when restaurants throw raw onions on at the last minute and and they try to pass off slightly warmed up onions as grilled onions. It's a BIG pet peeve of mine, mostly because I dont really like raw onions. So, I was happy to see that the onions on my plate were actually grilled, cooked, and extremely flavorful. The basmati rice that came with my meal was cooked to perfection and the yogurt curry sauce was ?. All of this plus the garlic naan was just heaven. My friend had the butter chicken and that was just as good. After our meal we decided to try some dessert and got the balls. I will search the actual name for that dessert and add it to the image. It was my 1st time trying that and it was better than expected. It kinda reminded me of bread pudding. Like it would be bread pudding's distant cousin or something. I'm not sure if that's what it's supposed to taste like but that's what it reminded me of. Either way it was pretty good. Ultimately, we really enjoyed this place and had a great experience here. I know a lot of people are ordering food for pick up but I highly recommend going into this establishment and enjoying your meal there."

"We were excited to try this highly rated Indian food restaurant. We drove over for the day and it was to be our first stop in Columbia. We were the first people in the restaurant when they opened at noon and one of the first to place our order. After 30 minutes of waiting we noticed others getting their food so we asked our waitress to check on ours. She went to the kitchen and said it was on the way. We watched three more tables get their food and pointed out it had been 40 minutes since we sat … – show"

"I went there for takeout. I ordered the chicken curry which is just a generalized sauce that's often unique to the specific restaurant. This one was truly unique. I've had Indian food from over a dozen India restaurants. I liked it and I would order it again. Fresh ingredients, high quality chicken, a unique and delicious sauce, and it can be ordered mild, media, or spicy! The samosas were delicious but a little greasy. I'm use to the dry samosas that come in a bag- not the frozen ones, but the dry snack sized ones! These were delicious though and came with two chutnies that were also very good. I don't like food to be overpowered by onions but the chef said he could not omit onions and that they're in the sauces. He warned me that the food there has a lot of onions. However, when I was eating I did not notice the onions too much. The spices were well balanced. All of this was good, but the bad is that during dinner hours the meal is pricey. I paid 19 plus 4 for tip just for take out. The samosas were 3.50 on the menu but 4.5 on the ticket. All of that is fine but I'm not going to get dinner there again. The portions are more lunch portions than dinner. I think the prices were too high but I'm not going to argue that the food wasn't worth it. Imagine, you can't get this food anywhere else in town! This is the sole Indian restaurant! If you want Indian food then you're driving to Little Rock over an hour away. Lunch buffet is around $14-15 after taxes. I'd argue that this was a great deal for the quality of food and it's uniqueness."

"The flavor of the food can only be topped by the friendly staff. We love Indian food and are always willing to try new dishes here. The love for country and customs is evident in the flavor of the dishes. I haven't tried anything that I have not loved. My favorite dish is the butter chicken with medium level hotness. I always ask them to add onions and bell peppers to my dish and it's perfect. I recommend you dine in for the experience of the ambience, but I usually do take out, weekly! Thank you guys!
