"It was my first time dining at an Indian restaurant, and we went on a Friday evening. The service was excellent. I had the butter chicken, and my girlfriend had a shrimp dish (I can’t recall the name). Both were delicious. We usually take leftovers home, but we finished everything because it was so good! We’ll definitely be back!"

"The place was really quiet, which should have been the first clue, given the massive festival going on literally outside the front door. The sever was completely disengaged, we had to remind them to bring our drinks multiple times. The food was unremarkable, the saving grace was that it was relatively easy inexpensive. When the plates were taken away, the wait staff proceeded to try to wipe down the table while we’re sitting there, leaving a half cleaned smear of sauce on the table while we waited for the bill, which took its sweet time getting to us, given that the only other people in the restaurant were, presumably, the owners."

"Food was okay. We waited over 40 minutes for food. The table next to us came after us and ordered after us, they got their food first and finished before we got our main entrees. Only option for water was smart water. They just dropped the bottle off at our table without us asking and they didn’t let us know before hand that each bottle would cost $3.50 either."

"Okay well there's no photos because we ate it all. If you order off the organic menu oh MAMA MIA... vegan this, or Palak Paneer that... melt in your mouth. Now a few years ago I took my Mom here and the manager of the store was in a bad mood and she ordered some icky milk based dish that she did not like. I wasn't the man I am now or I would have said HEY GUY .. BOSS HERE... FIX THIS PROBLEM. Well we LET ALL that go and I got her to come back. This time around he he was helpful, nice, and a sweetheart. I think he was just having a bad day before Covid hit. I didn't care too much for the gluten free naan but it's healthy, yet I still ordered garlic naan. This is seriously the best Indian food in Seattle if not on the West Coast because the Mango Lasse, Egg Plant Bartha, Palak Paneer, Garlic Naan, Gluten Free Naan.... all so amazing. The waiter was super sweet and he got that %20 tip. Don't listen to negative reviews and try the Palak Paneer or Vegan Egg Plant Bartha (organic). Super bomb, delicious, and just I WANT MORE!!!!"

"The appetizer chicken pokoros is basically fried chicken chunks that tastes like tandoori chicken. It was good, just a little dry. The chicken tiki masala was recommended by my waitress and it was absolutely delicious! Creamy, savory, and seasoned well! Again, the chicken was kind of dry, but that seems to be my experience with other Indian restaurants too."

"The combo appetizer was delicious though potatoes seemed to be the theme of all three appetizer. I liked the mango sauce the best of the three dips while the wife liked the tamarind. My chicken Marsala was very good with huge junks of chicken too. Basmati rice was light and fluffy. Sister had the butter chicken and liked it. Too full to have desert. Service was quick and timely. Restaurant was very clean too. Definitely will go back to try different dishes."

"Another stop on my partner 's journey to find the best chicken vindaloo in Ohio was Maharaja. They had some great reviews so we were very excited. Service was good and there were already quite a partons already inside when we arrived. The inside is very cute and they had a lot of alcoholic drink options including Kingfisher beer, which my partner compared to a Stella that tastes like beer (he was a huge fan). I deviated from my usual order and got the channa saag with a hot spice level. I will say it was not as spicy as I expected but it was still good. The aloo tiki was good and did have peas in it for reference if you have a picky eater with you, the sauces were delightful. I am not usually over in this area but would definitely try it again and probably go back to my chicken tiki masala staple."

"We heard about this place from friends and ordered some dishes a month back and the food was amazing!! We loved the food so much that we decided to order it for the birthday party we were having this weekend. Everything we ordered was delicious. All our guests loved the food. I was very happy with the service and was very impressed with the packaging. when we went to pickup the food they packed each tray in a separate cardboard box so it was easy to carry and does not spill. Highly recommend this place !!"

"Great little restaurant with flavor and charm! This was our first time here and we really enjoyed it! Met the owner who shared how creating this restaurant was his Dream. Glad to help other people follow their dreams and enjoy the tasty results! Dine with confidence!(Buffet is closed for now so order something new that you've never tried)"

"I recently dined at indian sizzler and my experience was nothing short of disappointing. I ordered their supposedly famous biryani, only to be met with the worst culinary experience of my life. The biryani was not only bland, but it also tasted as though it had been cooked in a rush with little regard for flavor or quality. The rice was overcooked and mushy, while the meat was tough and lacking in any discernible seasoning. To make matters worse, within minutes of finishing my meal, I began to feel nauseous. Two hours later, I was still battling a bout of nausea that left me regretting ever setting foot in indian sizzler.Overall, my experience at indian sizzler was a complete disaster. I can confidently say that I will not be returning anytime soon. Save your time and money, and steer clear of this culinary catastrophe."

"Really delicious Indian food…right in our neighborhood! Service was friendly and professional. Prices are very reasonable. I often avoid Indian food because I’m sensitive (not in a good way) to chilies and other hot seasonings. Our waiter was very helpful in guiding me to appropriate choices. We’ll definitely be back!"

"Lotus is one of my top 3 San Rafael restaurants and everyone's favorite. One of the best restaurants in Marin County. Please note the free PARKING LOT (at 805 5th Ave) at the rear entrance through the Indian grocery store. We have dined here to the lunch buffet (all you can eat) and the selection was excellent. Chicken Tikka Masala, Aloo Gobi, 3 types of Pakoras, 2 types of curry dishes, Tandoori Chicken and even fresh Papadum offered. Many dishes were gluten-free. The lunch buffet ends at 2 o'clock. We came too late at 1:10, but we had a lot of food to try, and the host even brought us a basket of freshly baked naan for our table to the end. The amount of selection and selection we had for the lunch buffet I felt it was so much. I am always so impressed by the level of all employees? Attention whenever we're here. There were 3-4 waiters always checking tables to fill the water glasses (as we can drink more water, enjoy the seasoned food) and clean all finished dishes immediately. 20 car parking is on the back and I think Lotus is the one and only restaurant in San Rafael Downtown with own parking. A few months ago we sat on the new curb-side dining area. And it was quite convenient to be served there from the 4th street without feeling on anyone. Large terrace umbrellas also kept us cool. The owner, Pal, was a miracle for the guests whenever he is there and always remember the familiar faces and stop saying hello to any table."

"This was my first experience with true Indian cuisine and it was a very good one! I’m a huge fan now and will not shy away in the future. We were a group of 16 and they handled our party with ease, bringing our food on time, constantly checking on us and were very attentive. Others in the party who had more experience with Indian food were very impressed and will definitely visit this restaurant again. I highly recommend!"

"Despite the humdrum name that touches on every Indian restaurant cliche Clay Oven Tandoor Indian Grill serves exquisite food of great complexity that compares favorably with the creations I've enjoyed at some of India's finest restaurants! Do yourself a favor: set aside an evening with friends (or simply with a loved one) to experience culinary greatness, preferably on a less crowded weeknight. Former long time Chicago Magazine restaurant reviewer."

"My friend and I were on the lookout for a new restaurant and stumbled upon this hidden gem! Chicago Curry House is a spot that everyone should visit and try some food. Everyone is welcome here! You absolutely must try the chicken pakora—it was delicious. We also ordered the lamb curry, chicken makhani (butter chicken), goat biryani, and garlic naan. Yes, we ordered quite a bit, but it was totally worth it! The wonderful gentleman who owns the place even let me sample a mango lassi, which was also fantastic. I will definitely be returning! Thank you so much for everything, and see you next time!"
