"I went to Al-Sham on Bustleton Avenue for the first time two nights ago because I had a craving for a samon steak. It was an amazing sandwich, the salmon was nicely chopped and soft. The bread was perfect and the fried onions and hot peppers set it off perfectly! I will be returning soon...even driving from NJ. By the way,my son also enjoyed his delightfully prepared regular cheesesteak."

"They do provide delivery through Restaurants on the Run, but for a hefty fee. Anarbagh offers free local delivery within a five-mile radius, or you can place a takeout order to enjoy a 15% discount. Be prepared for a small wait during dinner hours, as this place has become quite popular. The restaurant has recently been remodeled with new booths, stunning watercolor sky murals on the ceiling, and updated lighting. Street parking on Ventura Blvd. can be tricky, but there is free parking available at the back. The chicken tikka masala here is the best I’ve tasted, having tried it at numerous Indian restaurants across the country. The sauce is rich and creamy, with a wonderful blend of spices and tender, perfectly cooked chicken. One standout dish that I particularly love is the Lamb Mango Masala—tender chunks of lamb in a sauce that tastes like a blend of sweet BBQ and mango chutney. It’s delicious and a great option for those who claim they don’t like lamb. Their dinner for two is an incredible deal at under $40 and includes everything from appetizers and chicken tandoori to a meat curry, a vegetable dish, rice, naan bread, papads, chutney, dessert (gulab jamun, ice cream or baklava), and your choice of soft drinks or tea/coffee. There's also the occasional $10 off coupon in the local mail, which makes it even more appealing. My only wish is that they had a lunch buffet like many other Indian restaurants in the area, but their exceptional dinner offerings more than compensate for that."

"We tried this place for the 3rd time tonight… and it was a strike out. It seems the food got worse each time. The mango lassi was watered down and bland. The mango chutney wasn’t awful, but tasted mostly like vinegar. The garlic naan was beyond disappointing. First, it didn’t taste anything like garlic. It was dry, somewhat burnt and flavorless. The paneer was dry and also slightly burned. The masala had zero flavor or spice. The mushroom saag was awful. Nothing close to any other saag I’ve had. Not only was this food bad, but my partner and I are both experiencing stomach issues directly after eating it… Very disappointed in the entire order. My advice, get a NEW chef or switch food genres. Places like Citrus, Tamarind and Tanjore, are far better and worth the money."

"First the good part. One of the best biryani I have had in Chicago area restaurant. The seating area is well kept. So far I have been here multiple times and everything other than biryani (burger, bun kabab, Chaat, Chinese rice, tacos have been below par). I would have tried other things, but normally 2 out of 3 choices are not available. Only seems to be one person holding down the fort at service side and it reflects on the service. Very underwhelming. Will be my go-to place for chicken biryani only."

"We last came to this restaurant 15 years ago and boy has it changed not for the better , before it was very much the Rat Pack vibe of a traditional steakhouse we sat in a booth and has wonderful experienced waiters. This time there was almost a shove it in your face rat pack experience the music of the era was everywhere it was a little self conscious. This time we were sat in an annex no booth , that was built 10 years ago. There were a lot of waiters they were sloppy in the way they tended to us . We had the ahi tower which was very good , my martini was also excellent , next came the caesar salad made at the table the worst I have ever eaten I expect romaine and a somewhat creamy dressing this was iceberg lettuce and a very vinegary Italian type dressing for $34 that was a big rip off. The filet mignon was acceptable nothing special , the french fries were terrible soggy. I would not visit again and worst of all it was for my husbands birthday should have gone to Flemings or Arroyo Chop House."

"The Indian food was disappointing. It lacked any flavor. The chicken tikka masala resembled more of a soup than a dish, as the curry had been thinned down to a watery consistency. As for the lamb..."

"What a fantastic find! This neighborhood eatery offers a delicious breakfast and an extensive menu that continues throughout the day. I ordered a Greek omelette that was so large I could barely finish it! It was packed with well-seasoned spinach and feta cheese, and the flavor was exceptional. The next day, I saved half of the omelette and the potatoes for another delightful breakfast. My cousin, who is vegan, opted for the Mediterranean wrap and paired it with the potatoes, and she absolutely loved it. They were more than happy with their nutritious choices. The staff was extremely friendly, and the menu featured an impressive variety. Overall, it was a truly pleasant surprise!"

"We are familiar with the downtown site, but had not noticed it in our neighborhood. We brought 2 good friends who are also pro-Indian foodies, and we sat in the back; which was pleasantly quieter, but not as interesting as the front. The food was great, over a number of Indian sub-categories from Goan, to Punjabi, to Karalan. We will go again, and heartily recommend it."

"tabla is a great restaurant for authentic and tasteful Indian cuisine. their menu clearly marks all vegetarian and vegan options. I especially like her vegetable Samoa (vegan), her butter paneer (paneer makhani) (vegetarian), and her naan. eating is a bit on the pricier side, but great to share."

"I had chicken biryani and masala dosa for lunch. The dosa was incredibly tasty, especially with the various chutneys. The biryani was good as well, but I found the rice to be a bit on the drier side. However, the chicken was moist and delicious. I will definitely come back again."

"I decided to try the door with this restaurant for the first time for lunch special. the door lock driver surpassed the expectations while insisting on Kovid provision. my eating was perfectly packed and sealed W-spin in closed brown pocket, that was a big plus for the restaurant. I ordered chicken masala, meat comb. I got 4 small pieces of chickens and naan was hard, I don't guess fresh. could be better with the section. after my thought, my eating was delicious and tasteful. they only have to work on fresh and portion sizes, especially when the customer ordered meat as a main dish. total 4 stars"

"Their Lebanese puffy pita bread is SO GOOD (hot fresh). We came here just for their hummus and puffy pita bread but now we also LOVE their chicken kabobs and weirdly their french fries? My brother loves their french fries. It's now our go-to meal when we come here: hummus with their pita bread chicken kebob with french fries substitute instead of their roasted veggies. Delicious!"

"Fantastic food and fantastic service! I had my birthday dinner there with 15 people and I couldn’t have had a better experience. The food was absolutely amazing. And they excellently managed to serve this big group (we had people joining us late and it was no problem). Without hesitation they let us split the bill the way we wanted to. And they offered me a fantastic desert for free! 10/10!!"
