"We went to Opart Thai for a pre theatre dinner, as the venue was only about 5 minutes away on West Chicago Avenue. It proved to be an excellent choice for our first time dining in this specific area of the city. We were greeted in a friendly manner, and our server was extremely helpful. We were going to order the appetizer sampler platter, and she gently directed us to a couple of other items on the menu that were not the usual Thai restaurant staples. For our entrees we had two orders of Pad Thai and one curry dish, and one other that I can't remember they were all delicious and required take home boxes. The dessert of Thai custard was also excellent, as was the Thai iced tea. They have full bar service I got the sense this was a relatively recent development and pre meal cocktails were very creative and good. The only quasi complaint is that the windows at the front of the dining room were open due to the warm weather, and the street noise from Chicago Avenue was very loud on occasion."
