"Rizzo's Malabar Inn Restaurant Review. The Malabar Inn of Rizzo is one of the best preserved secrets of Western Pennsylvania. Located in the heart of the small landscape town of Crabtree, the Defabo family has been offering its distinct Italian taste for the last 50 years. The restaurant is a South Italian spaghetti house with homemade dishes that attract people from all over the region. Over the years I have visited numerous Italian restaurants, such as the Spaghetti Warehouse in the Strip District and Buca di Beppo in Station Square. Although I enjoyed their meals, I still believe that Rizzo’s Malabar Inn is the best in the area. The beautifully decorated dining rooms offer a beautiful but relaxed atmosphere that is open to all ages. Each room is carefully decorated with traditional Italian decor and invites customers both in leisure and business. The world-class wart employees never fail to feel customers feel like they are home. The family chefs have and operate this restaurant since the early 1930s with a family recipe that has been passed on for over four generations. From their homemade pasta and pizzas to the tasteful calfs parmesan, these timeless favorites do not disappoint. My personal favorite remains her signature gnocchi alla telefono, a recipe of homemade gnocchi mixed with molten provolone cheese and covered in Rizzo's signature marinara sauce. In addition to these traditional dishes, there are delicious steak and seafood options. A gluten-free menu and hearty meals are also offered. In addition to these wonderful restaurants, Rizzo’s Malabar Inn offers classic desserts such as almond cream cake, homemade Gelato and Tiramisu. In the fifteen years I had eaten in this restaurant, I had only positive experiences with delicious hot meals. On a five-star scale, I would easily evaluate Rizzo’s Malabar Inn due to its consistent culinary quality and magnificent service. I would recommend this fine facility to all those who have the opportunity to visit."
