"I called in my curbside order ahead of time. Called when I arrived. Waited 25 minutes no one brought out my food or came to get my payment. I called in my order because I was sweaty after a run didn't want to have to go in. The manager couldn't care less. My food was cold gross. This location has continued not to impress me. Definitely needs more training."

"This charming local restaurant has a beautiful dining area with comfortable seating and friendly, efficient service. The food is truly delicious. During our visit on a Monday morning, we enjoyed the chile verde eggs rancheros with beans and potatoes. The salsa added a nice kick to the already mouthwatering verde. My dining companion had the meatless Sunshine Benedict with spinach and zucchini, a lighter and healthier twist on the classic dish. Although we forgot to take photos, we were impressed by the bustling atmosphere as the restaurant quickly filled up with satisfied customers."

"Save room for a mango margarita and dinner! The chips salsa are so good you'll fill up fast if you aren't careful. Haven't been to this spot in years but it was a good half way point to meet up with friends. Couldn't be happier to learn the patio was pet friendly. The group behind us actually had their leashed bunny with them. My pup loved being able to sit with us for dinner. Weather was cool and perfect for outside dining which is partially covered, with an open area too. Friend ordered a pina colada and I had the frozen mango margarita (recommended to me). Super frosty and festive for taco night. I ordered the mahi mahi tacos with rice and a side of pickled jalapenos because I like some extra spice. Didn't need them as the slaw was perfect, but added to punch it up. Friend ordered the chilaquiles casserole. Not what we thought it would be. Expected more like a Mexican lasagna type dish layered with corn tortillas. Instead it was like fajita nachos with chips and a sauce. Friend liked the dish anyway, and took the leftovers home. We also ordered a cheese dip and a side of plantains, which were amazing. Definitely get an order and split it. Service was fast and friendly, and the place was packed on Saturday night. Great spot."

"When you walk in the door, you know you are in for a vacation. Great decor and lively with people. Luckily we were able to build a back table next to the gate (not a great table but better than nothing! which didn't phase us in as we knew we had been eating after having a great meal here two days earlier. I ordered the maple fried rosemary chicken sandwich, my friend had the fried chicken and we tried the Chinese chicken salad. Very tasty and fast service."

"My first lunch break in Iowa was to take a solo spa to get Tacos in Malo. It was a home run at my first bat as Des Moines Rookie. Wow. I did it right, and they put my bag on the table with food when I went into the door. I have the avocado and fried onions on maizestortillas, and instead of getting a combo, I have the Portobello mushrooms as my side. So I could just put them on my tacos. I also have a side of fruit with sweet chilli sauce. It didn't want to have anything super spicy before my marathon, so I got the pico de gallo. The tacos were delicious, and the fresh tortillas seemed handmade. The fruit was so juicy and sweet, but the mare here was the Portobello mushroom like steak strips. "Love love love Garcias!!! Warm crisp chips with salsa and bean dip makes it worth the trip alone! Very authentic and Family style restaurant with wonderful service, Now the food...ordered the Pollo fundido chimi that comes with sour cream and rice and beans and it was not what you typically expect as far as presentation but wowsa it was yummy! Deep fried with a layer of jalapeño cream cheese and melted cheese on top packed with juicy chicken. I loved the flavor, huge portion, rice and beans were such a good addition. I added a side of guacamole because it doesn't come with it-a little spicy for me but still loved it! Salsa has a bit of spicy kick, no spiciness to the bean dip so I dove into it-it's addictive! Husband ordered the chicken fajitas and says this place has the very best fajitas. I tried them and they were awesome! Can't wait to return and definitely highly recommend especially if you're picky about good Mexican food!"

"This is a very beautiful student square centrally located on campus. Tables are inside and outside, can be removed. A long menu is on the wall with rather moderate prices. The boys serve pizza and a variety of Mexican dishes, such as Burritos and Quesadillas, also salads, sandwiches, burgers. The portions are big: I bought Quesadillas earlier and it was enough for 2-3 times for me. The food is delicious, but quite oily, but lots of calories! This time we ordered a club sandwich, paid around 14 usd, we shared for 2 and it was more than enough food for both of us. I lacked a salad on the side because, as I said, the food is quite oily and heavy. Otherwise, the service is fast and polite, no problems with the order. A great place to visit!"

"We have been to the Dundee location a few times and my work has gotten take out from this location (the first time I ever had it) Still one of my favorite Mexican restaurants around. This was the first time we have been to the Palatine location. it doesn't look like much on the outside or inside but the food is great. Service was quick and attentive, it was later on a week night and there was only a few other tables filled. I love their black beans, I think they are the best I have ever had and the cilantro rice is excellent as well. Since we have noit been in a long time I didn't deviate from things I had and love. The 3 taco platter with One Wild Mushroom, Queso Fresco and Relleno Taco. All were just so good, the Queso Fresco with the carnalized cheese alvacado and elote is just a stunning taco. I really love this place and this location is as good as the Dundee location. Dont pass on it"

"My friend and I came here to catch up over dinner; she ordered the Poco chimis and the flautas, I ordered the el magnifico sampler. The food was alright! Nothing was wrong, it wasn 't bad, it just also wasn 't *good*. The waiter is what I remember the most. Someone else brought us our food, and as we were talking or first bites our waiter came to bring us boxes. It was so early and so strange that we must 've looked surprised bc he said no rush! But then he came back no less than 6 times in 40 minutes to ask if we have everything we need, to ask if we wanted the check separated, to point out that we could use the machine on the table to pay, to tell us he can take the check once we 're ready if we don 't want to use the machine, and so on. It was the most attentive anyone has ever been with regard to getting rid of us. The food isn 't good enough to come back, but the service was bad enough for me to actively avoid it."
