That being said, it wasn't exorbitant and I am a cheapskate and I understand these family joints need to raise prices to recover from COVID closures. "Having recently moved here from a big city area that had an AMAZING food scene, we 've had to temper our expectations of many restaurants as being 'Redding Good ' vs what we were used to back in our former home. This is the first place that just legitimately blew us away. The staff was excellent. The ambiance was perfect. The food... My goodness... The FOOD! "The food is overpriced and it has an after taste. The lady at the front desk is very rude. But the older Chinese lady with apron did wave at me. I hope this food don’t make me sick. Make sure you pray the name of Jesus over the food. I could taste the pot they cooked the food in its just nasty. I ate it because i was hungry. But will never return. They charged me 18.00 dollars for a 8.00 dollar meal. The sesame chicken looked nothing like the sesame chicken in the pictures. That after taste is ?… you can taste the pot they cooked it in. I know I am gonna throw up."

"I feel bad for the China Inn. Just terrible, in fact. Why, you might ask? Because... The Mongolian Beef The Mongolian Beef is so wonderful, so tremendously delicious, I have absolutely NO idea if they make anything else nearly as wonderful or even better, in comparison! Do I want to spice it up, asks the waitress? No While I enjoy spicy food, in this instance, the extra spice changes the flavor profile, so I recommend just let the cooks do their magic, no extra spice needed. And it's even worse for us customers! How do we go in to a restaurant and pretend we are there for anything other than the Mongolian Beef? We fake looking at the menu in the hopes they won't see our addiction and take advantage of us... But they know. Seriously, this is the Best Mongolian Beef in town, sadly, that's not saying much for Coeur d'Alene, but I would even challenge ANY restaurant in the Spokane area to beat this dish, it's fantastic. If any restaurant will take the challenge, put your restaurant in the Comments, and I, and any other readers, will try it out in the next 3 months, and I'll give you a fair tasting, one Mongolian Beef review a week, if you're game! This could be Epic!!!"

"Came in today July 17 at 9:00 pm and the girl who is a host works there told me to “leave” because they were closing early. I asked why and she said it was because she was feeling “sick” When I pressed why she closed the store a full hour early she raised her voice and gave me an attitude.She was not “sick” and was obviously lying just because she wanted to go home.She just wasn’t trying to do her job.Regardless, if she was “sick” she had zero authority to shut the place down a full 1 hour early.I asked to speak to the manager team and she said “she’s on vacation” I asked “So who runs this place?” And she pointed to the chefs in the back who speak no English, using them as scapegoats.I will file a complaint with the management team.What a horrible experience."

"I have been a regular at this restaurant for years, but since the new owners took over, the place has improved even more. The service is always friendly and the food is served quickly. I always enjoy a delicious breakfast here, and the hash browns are cooked perfectly crispy. "Food is good but would like to convey a concerning experience with regards to a delivery order that took over two hours. After ordering, Grubhub called to say the restaurant was removing the duck from my order, which is fine. However after the restaurant provided delivery window had passed I called the restaurant and could not get someone on the phone.I called back and was able to get someone who assured me all orders were out for delivery. Over thirty minutes later I call and they inform me they were mistaken and my order had not left at that point but now was on its way. Eventually I get my order but at that point it is two hours after ordering."
