"I had high hopes for this restaurant, as there are not many options nearby that offer authentic Mexican cuisine. Unfortunately, this place fell short. While it was clean, it lacked in several areas. The establishment is fairly new, and the staff, though friendly, seemed inexperienced. The food was mediocre, and the fact that everything is a la carte was disappointing. Even a simple basket of chips and salsa had to be ordered as an appetizer, with the chips coming from a bag. The portions of salsa were small, and the guacamole was nothing special. We ordered shrimp fajitas, requesting extra rice instead of beans, but our request was forgotten. The fajitas were served lukewarm on a regular plate, rather than sizzling on a cast iron pan as expected. The tortillas were not homemade. The most unpleasant part of the experience was when the staff began cleaning up the restaurant while we were still eating, leaving us feeling rushed. The smell of bleach in the air further detracted from our dining experience. The owner or chef was friendly, as were most of the servers, although one left before we finished our meal. Overall, the restaurant has potential but needs to improve in several areas before I would consider returning."
