"I initially went in right before lunch ended for the lunch special for $5.99. The posted sign said lunch special from 11am-3pm. Meat, 2 sides and a roll. The time was 12:41. After placing my order with my card I was given a receipt to sign. It had the total I owed the restaurant and another amount for .29. I asked grandma what was this twenty-nine cents charge and she explained that's how much they charge to use cards. So I asked what was the total for the meal and she said I had to add it up then sign the receipt. The total came to $8.15. I was confused because the posted sign says $5.99 so why am I paying over $8. Grandma proceeds to tell me that the price is $6.99 and not $5.99. I told her that was false advertising. She assured me that she was going to take it down. After getting my food the chicken had no taste and the fries where soaked in grease. I wouldn't recommend this place. There's no coming back from this"

"This place is FANTASTIC! The food is wonderfully flavorful and delicious. Jerk chicken was incredible (get some of the gravy and hot sauce on the side) and the Mac and cheese was so good. Shoutout to one of the regulars who helped me get the lay of the land and let me know about all the good work the owner Mike did giving out free food to the needy during the pandemic. He said the portions *used* to be huge, but as you can see from my photo they’re still very generous (and only cost me $10)!! Service was straightforward and the prices weren’t bad. It is take out only, so plan to go home or walk over to Lexington market to eat. Some items aren’t available everyday so if you have your eye on something specific (pumpkin roti) better to call ahead. Can’t wait to come back."

"Brought 10 of my co workers here and they all love it! At first we were very nervous because of the setting , but the food is definitely on point. I couldn't find one thing I didn't like on my plate. It's tough trying to find a good soul food place but Jordan's is something u'll love."

"My mother wanted some fish and she sent me here. I decided to grab a few things for myself, catfish nuggets, okra and fried pickles. And ohh my goodness, this place did not disappoint. As soon as you arrive, you are greeted by a friendly lady who took my order. No attitude, just kind and polite service from them all. And the grand finale...the food was delicious. It was hot even the fries, fresh, and seasoned very well. I have driven by this place numerous times and I wish I’d went sooner."
