"Absolutely love the food and people here! Definitely check it out if you want to have some authentic and delicious Dominican food here in the Bronx. The staff really makes you feel like family. They are extremely busy so if ordering delivery, anticipate at least a 30-45 minute wait."

"The food is too pricey, they serve you only a half of cup of beans and white rice. Usually authentic restaurants serve you more beans then that especially if it's for two people. Their bathrooms have water saving old system which sadly they need to change asap. It gets clogged to easy and to me that's a big don't go back. They only get 2 stars because they do have a bar and the place is bit centric for a stop and go but I would not recommend it for a picky, clean eater like myself.Wheelchair accessibility: They have a ramp but don't go past 4:00pm too crowded."

"lI've eaten lunch on 3 separate occasions, and every time, I got the same results. They serve leftovers as a lunch special. Food was extremely salty, especially Pollo guisado. Waitresses will serve you lunch size meals and charge you for price. It is not your traditional Dominican food. Ask for prices before being served because they will overcharge. The owner was present and wasn't concerned about how bad the food."

"First time here most likely our last. Not impressed by taste or serving sizes. Also, they’re not allowing customers to eat in the restaurant so we ended up driving 40+ minutes to this place just to eat in the car."

"I have visited the Poughkeepsie location, and I have to say that Golden Corral is far better. First of all, during both of my visits around noon, I thought I was paying the lunch price of $12.75 per person. However, each time I was charged $17.99 per person and was told that it’s dinner all day. That’s not what your sign indicates, and there’s no mention of “Dinner all Day” anywhere to be found. I find that really frustrating. As a result, I didn’t tip the bus girl, as she shouldn’t have to bear the brunt of the extra charges being made. If they’re charging me an additional $5 per person illegally, they can give that money to her. There’s no lunch price displayed when entering the restaurant, yet you suddenly charge dinner prices at noon. Sorry, but your scheme has been uncovered. Don’t expect me to tip anyone."

"Update 2022They really improved things. The Caribbean chicken is still good but they're using smaller pieces then they used to. The rice with pigeon peas is excellent. Service is a lot better. The beef stew is soft now but it doesn't have a lot of vinegar like carribean food usually does.update 9/2019My last 3 delivery experiences were terrible. I received plaintain raw still part pink inside, i eat green Banana (guinero) often this times it seems like it was slow cool boiled not water. I requested garlic for the tostones when I recieved my delivery I was told I had to pay $1 for that. Why not just charge it as a side. Plus I only needed 1 which would have been .50 cents. the meat was excellent. I think the issue is on Sundays Mexican workers may mot be familiar with caribbean cuisine. Its an issue in a lot of Dominican places in the Bronx, Sunday food is not as good. There is a smart mouth Dominican guy every time I speak with him I know there is going to be a problem. I called to check of my order was received he could have just told me to come down with an extra dollar. I locked myself out accidentally to get the food they never ring a bell no matter how much the tip or how many parking spaces. the tostones were replaced with more raw and oily soggy plantain.Nicer atmosphere than many for dinner to sit in. But like most food is a a little inconsistent. Today my half roasted chicken is usually dry. Today it was not. My experience is to avoid the beef guisado... dry. I often get the caribbean chicken. Its usually the safest consistency. Better than Steven's (sorry).UPDATE: 11/13/18 I appreciate the owner response. I look forward to going there more and trying more food. I had stopped going there for like a year. So maybe everything not just the chicken has improved. I look forward to changing this review in the near future...now that I have had 2 great dishes recently."

"The food is delicious, mainly the birria tacos have become my favorite. Delivery is fast There is a very important detail the telephone service, whenever I dial the girl leaves me on the phone or hangs up, I give my order but she simply does not answer me. I even dial up to 3 times and there is simply no answer. They should check that detail. Thank you so much"

"I was initially a bit hesitant about the order from this place, because all the reviews I've read seemed a little disappointing, but when I got my first order of yellow rice and ribs, I was really satisfied, and so was my friend. I decided not to criticize this day, as it might have been a curse. Then I placed two separate commands on two separate days. Every day I thought I would get a confused order, but every job was better than the next. The bands were tasteful and juicy not hard. The white rice and steak are absolutely delicious! Melt in your mouth delicious.. So I ordered again. Chicken and rice! Somehow it was better than the last! In any case delicious???????!"

"Bangin! Everything was incredibly flavorful and tasted like it was made with love. If you want proper Latin food on the island this is the spot. Right when we walked in the owner/staff were very friendly and helpful. She gave us samples of everything we wanted to try to help us decide what we would like to order. The pork/rib combo was my favorite, the chicken was delicious as well. Our plates were massive combos of yellow rice beans, pork/rib and chicken with sweet plantains. I don’t know how I managed to almost finish everything but it was too good not to. We were also given their home made hot sauce which was spicyyy (for me at least) and packed with a punch of flavor. I couldn’t leave without trying their tres leches, and it did not disappoint. Sweet but not too sweet, with hints of spices coming through. The best part is that it was sitting in the delicious dessert soup so you can soak the cake in for more flavor. They also have a new Nutella tres leches I will have to try the next time I visit. And their Dominican sodas are very tasty and a bit less sweet than Jarritos."

"This is the thrid time I've went to this because they sever Pork dishes. An they charge me $10 for a small plate of food. Not even worth it the food is season to the point it over power the flavor just too much salt to make the dish taste like everything. Thats a large plate under it . So this is not even a medium. Overpriced for no reason."
