"Great 1st impression! Staff customized out menus for our special occasion, making us feel welcome and special. We arrived at Morton’s at 5:25, did not order until 6, and did not leave until 7:30, making us late for Prom that we were chaperoning. Waiter was walking around our table topping off waters and dropped ice/water on my plate. The gentleman just grabbed the ice off of my plate, leaving the plate that his fingers/hand touched, not acknowledging that he did that. My mom ordered the 6 oz filet and 5 oz lobster tails. This meal was $65. The server asked her if she would like to make the lobster tails an 8 oz. She said yes. When our check was brought out, the 3 oz of extra lobster tail was $40 (more than my salmon meal $39). It is not about the money, for we made reservations at a fine dining establishment expecting to pay fine dining prices. But charging an additional $40 for 3 oz of lobster and not notifying the guest that this would be the up charge does not seem very fair. Staff (not our waiter) dropped off food. By time they set everything on the table, they all walked away not asking if we had everything. We did not receive part of an entree. We had to wait 5 7 minutes until our server came over to our table to check our food. Waiter took my check and my grandmothers check to cash out. The server ended up charging the wrong cards. The management was not very sincere in our interactions. Our cards had to be charged AGAIN, with the other amount pending. So in total, I had $400 pending on my account."
