"This was the first stop of our night out with family and friends, ranging in age from 1 to 80 years old. It was an early dinner and then on to the Botanical Gardens for the holiday light show so we weren’t on a deadline. Good thing, too… we arrived at Shells Sauce at 3:30pm and due to the extreme delay between ordering and then the food arriving at our table; and again after having finished and finally receiving our bill; the experience took two full hours, start to finish. Other than that, it was fantastic. We were warmly welcomed at the door by a gentleman we originally mistook for another patron (since he was wearing a coat and hat), the menu had something for everyone (including the vegetarian, the carnivore and the baby), the food was fantastic and the mood was festive (took awhile for us to catch on that the servers were participating in an Ugliest Holiday Sweater contest with each other). I’ll be back!"

"We went for Sunday brunch and were originally seated in the back bar area. It was ridiculously loud between the music and large families with small children. They graciously reseated us but then we were pretty much forgotten. Luckily we had already ordered. Food was good, large portion size and were able to get various sauces and gravies that were part of the dishes on the side so we could share and explore. Chicken and waffles was delicious with a delicate waffle under a nice sized deep fried boneless chicken breast that was juicy and crispy. Accompanying gravy was thick and unctuous. Glad I got it on the side as it would have been too much on top of the chicken. Companion got chicken biscuit and gravy which came oddly in a bowl making it really hard to eat. Again crispy delightful chicken and massive biscuit. Potatoes with it went untouched because of portion size. Egg topper was done as ordered. Make reservations because it gets busy fast. Pomegranate mimosa was good but not a large amount for $9. Half a wine glass. Service was okay. Because of being reseated we got missed for drink refills and checking on food order until very late in the meal. With tax and tip it was about $35 each"

"sat for date night with my wife, service was ok..wine was good, bark meattar was really good, the well-fled oysters were best moderate and from any reason we are not served over ice. they were room temperature and not pleasant at all for $42 a dozen. the escaped were extraordinary. we have the scallop risotto and the grouper special. could have been 4 stars if the oysters were not such a disappointment."

"Was looking for a good breakfast in the Strip District. We found a gem. I would give a 10 star if possible. We arrived to a packed outdoor waiting area thinking we would have a long wait. Put a name on the list and within about 10 minutes we were seated. Greeted by some of the most friendly people! Once seated, a high spirited waitress met us within 1 minute. Upon giving our order, the food is on the table in about 6 to 7 minutes for our party of four. I have the western omelette and it has to be one of the best ones I’ve had ever. The rest of the staff constantly checking on your table to see if you need anything. What a great place to start your day!"

"been trying to get in here after the saturday farmers market, always a line, but last saturday i made it in with chris for lunch. i should have waited before also. when people are standing in line, that is usually a great sign that something wonderful is going on, and wow it was. Tyler was our server and he did a great job getting all of our items for us, chris got the Empanadas....x 3: 1 pork 2 beef, i opted for the breakfast sandwich a side of yuca tots.....yuca tots are kinda like hushpuppies/tater tots, but truly outstanding little tickets wow.......2 glasses of wine also. for take home, we tried 1 each of maple donut a pistachio for our new coffee and for dinner dessert at home later we got two one was like pecan pie with chocolate and the other was a cake with icing kinda like coffee. be back soon Tyler"
