"Chowdah disappointment. After a long drive from central CT to the Rhode Island shore, my wife and I invariably need a clam cake and chowdah fix. This day we chose Iggy's and were disappointed to discover the choices for chowdah are limited to Manhattan or New England. How could Iggy, a presumed native, not offer RI chowdah? I will accept no substitutes and neither should you, so we limited ourselves to a dozen (clam cakes the counter person will know what you are want). These were beautiful to behold, but finding a morsel of clam, I counted is the equivalent of finding a needle in a haystack. Since clam cakes and chowdah, RI that is, are like a horse and carriage, we will satisfy our next craving somewhere/anywhere other than Iggy's.
