"We went there the night before Thanksgiving and it was a great dinner. The appetizer, roasted Calamari, was good, but a large part of it was just roasted Jalapenos. My duck was the whole fish, and I loved him. The meat was tender and the skin was beautiful and crispy. My friend also enjoyed his risotto with scallops like add on. They gave quite a lot of scallops for a good price. For dessert we got the baked Alaska as dessert and it was huge."

"I wanted to eat with Andrea. I have to say the location is very beautiful, it is located on the water. my overall experience was excellent. the hostess was pleasant and our server was very attentive. the menu selection was great. the atmosphere was very relaxing. they had played music, but it was not ignorantly loud and they had different genre of music that was a plus. our order came fast. So why the 4 stars? the truth is that I wanted to give this place a 4.5 stars and it is either a 4 stars or 5 stars without between. if, I give this place a 5 star than I don't fair with my review. the stuffed lobster roll I order was a piece dry, but all the other we order was also the dry lobster roll delicious. I would still offer another offer and recommend this location. fyi, if you want to sit on a table on the water they are a lot of a reservation. - I hope this help."

"my daughter and I went back to max a few days ago. eating was characteristic very good. Unfortunately, the two employees, one of them the waitress, did not wear any masks at all! although the waitress could see that we wore a mask, except when eating and especially when she approached the table, she did not take the note. my daughter asked me not to say anything and I respected her wish. it is disappointing that covid is not taken seriously at Max’s."

"We had a wonderful experience yesterday, as always. This is a beach restaurant, not a five-star establishment, so they manage expectations accordingly. That being said, for a beach restaurant, the place is amazing and I would highly recommend it. The scenery, service, atmosphere, food, live music, and even a visit from Santa all contributed to a fantastic lunch."

"My husband and I have stopped her a couple times food is average typical burger Clam Bar stand type of food. Went to stop in tonight just to grab a quick hot dog for my ride home and they are closed. It's 6:30 on a Thursday night the our say they're open till 7:00 p.m. not a car in the parking lot and all lights are off they might want to update their hours on is there a website. That being said their staff has always been very friendly when we have gone. Kid-friendliness: Grass area for the kids to play. "Had several items from the menu between the 5 of us. Appetizers were great (zucchini was a great idea). Both burgers who were ordered were great, even my daughter almost swallowed them. Fish tacos were good. Chowder had great taste, but could have used a little vegetables in it (was really a bit of shell and potato). The chips were cut chip style (but thicker) and did not have much season on them to eat for you, as is or with your favorite sauce. The rest of the seafood was fried (I would have ordered my plate grilled with fish and oysters option available). That means that the Kalamari was not over or understated. The fried mussels were a bit dazzling and could have used some spices. Fried shrimp was as you expect from fried shrimps. The fried oysters could also have benefited from some more spices (from the cocktail sauce that was decent). The tartar sauce was a bit mild, but it worked really well with the fried cod. The dough on the cod was in place and the combination with the sauce was great (if a bit over salted for my personal taste, but still good flavors). Clean restaurant and friendly staff."

"Food here is really good. However, prices have gone up quite a bit year over year since I've been coming here over the past decade. I get the same things each time and its been predictablly good each time. We usually get the Maryland crabcakes, fried and broiled scallops and little neck clams and its always good. Folks are friendly and never had an unfavorable experience just be cautious it be costly."

"Went to this place before they moved and liked it. Revisited again this week. Very nice decor and much larger than before. Wait wasn't bad and food was good. The only thing I would improve on is the chicken, it really has no flavor whatsoever, almost as if it was boiled and thrown on the burritos. Will be trying again definitely."
